Some days ago, Ch. SathyaDev (Sattibabu), an Indian friend of mine from Visakhapatnam, shared the “Song or Lyric on Shambala“, which he had written on 10 June 2021 – new moon day:
OM is the name of God or Para Brahma or the Almighty or the Father in Heaven. Sreem is the seed letter of splendour. Sham is the seed letter of peace. SanMangala means ‘That which brings auspicious things’.
Mandra Gaanam is the Music of the Soul. Sannidhaanam means ‘The Presence’. Paramaaraamam is the Highest Abode.
Viraajitham means ‘That which shines.’ Supoojitham means ‘well worshipped.’ Parama Guruvulu means ‘The Masters of Wisdom.’ Paramdhaamam means ‘The Highest Abode’. Paramaaanandam means ‘highest Bliss or Happiness’. Paramaayushyam means ‘bestows higher longevity’. Nissreyasham means ‘which bestows liberation’. Nirmalam means ‘pristine and pure’.
Kalkyavatharanam means ‘The descent of the future Avatar as Kalki’. Janma Kshetram means ‘place of birth’. Lokaa Lokam means ’causes salvation in both visible and invisible lokaas’ (planes of existence). Moksha Kaarakam means ‘The cause of liberation. Divya Darsanam means ‘Divine Vision’. Navya Sparsanam means’new divine touch’. Sanaathanam means ‘Ancient Most’. Sushobhitham means ‘well illuminated’.
Sattibabu wrote, “With the Grace of our beloved Master E. K… Dedicated to The World Teacher Brotherhood”. He submitted the ‘Song on Shamballa‘ to Master KPK, who answered: “Dear Sattibabu, I just listened twice the song. I also noted Siva’s inspiration. May the effort be blessed. May you two be blessed.”
Some weeks ago, a friend sent me a the link to a YouTube video of a monk dying consciously. It demonstrates the sublime art of spiritual living and leaving. You might be interested in the text on “Dying and Deathlessness” (with info about help during dying; see the text as PDF here) or about “Death, Birth and Continuity” (PDF here) . In the book “Enlightening Encounters” (p. 31ff) of Dr K. Parvathi Kumar you find the profound story of Sreeman Ekkirala Ananthacharya, the father of Master EK, who also departed in a yogic posture and with full consciousness -which is rare in the present times.
Just lying down and departing, then the body carried away by the other monks (picture from the video)
Cancer, the first water sign of the zodiac, symbolises the descent of the souls into matter. When matter prevails, we tend to forget our true nature and get conditioned in the ever-changing world of forms. Moon, the Lord of Cancer, represents the reflected state of the soul in the form and also the inconsistent movements of our emotions. We as souls are beyond reflection and are essentially light. But we tend to forget. A teacher who is also a yogi reminds us of the essential identity of the Soul with the Spirit. And he teaches us how to consciously relate to the origin. For this reason, it is an ancient tradition to worship the teacher during the full moon hours of Cancer and to reinforce the discipline of relating to the light of the soul.
The symbolism of Cancer is visualised in the twelve Cancer paintings done between 2010 and 2021. For detailed detailed descriptions please see the ludgerphilips.org website.

Cancer is ruled by the Moon, which reflects the light of the Sun. Cancer is a water sign; it symbolises the impermanence of our mind, which, like moonlight reflected in water, is constantly moving. The original light of the soul, on the other hand, is stable and constant like sunlight. Through the mind, the three higher principles within us are reflected in our three lower aspects, the personality. In the wisdom teachings, the Sun is considered the Father, while the Moon represents the Mother. Through her, the souls originating from the energies of the Father are drawn in, nourished and born through the lunar principle. The sunlight is golden, the moonlight is silver.
The half of the year from Capricorn to Cancer is symbolically represented as a golden bowl; in Eastern wisdom it is called the divine arch or the arch of light. With the solstice at the beginning of Cancer, the descent of the souls into the bodies takes place as an annual drama. The half of the year from Cancer to Capricorn is therefore called the silver bowl or the royal arch.
In the centre of the picture, you see the figure of the divine Mother, created with the help of a statue of Quan Yin. She is surrounded by the Moon and a field of stars shining in the darkness. In the lily pond below lies a silver bowl. Inside it shines a white and silver triangle with three water lilies blooming at its corners. Above the Mother’s head is a golden bowl in which a golden triangle shines. At its corners there are three golden shining stars.
The bowls were designed with the help of a photo of a late antique Roman silver bowl, taken in 2007 during a visit to the museum of Augusta Raurica near Basel.

A friend sent me the following pictures about “identifying some of the places in the Himalayas (in Kullu valley and Lahaul) portrayed in some of in Nicholas Roerich’s paintings. It touched me very much to see the paintings together with the real physical places. Since decades Roerich has impregnated me and I have blogged about him and his paintings a number of times. I tried to trace the source of these pictures on the web to give reference but could not find – so they might be copyrighted. Just enjoy.
“…the Midnight Planetarium watch captures Earth and five of its neighbors in the solar system (Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn) as they revolve around a rose gold Sun. Each planet, represented by a meticulously fashioned ornamental stone, moves at its true pace relative to the Sun: Saturn will take over 29 years to make a complete circuit of the dial, while Jupiter will do the same in just under 12 years, Mars 687 days, Earth 365 days, Venus 224 days and Mercury 88 days. The wearer of the Midnight Planétarium watch can also choose his lucky day: on the selected date, Earth will move to a position directly below the star engraved on the sapphire crystal.”
The website is very well done, with poetic video presentations, even if the prices of the astronomic watches probably will be “in the stars” for you – and me. The two pictures are from their videos (copyright Van Cleef & Arpels) And have a look at their videos – excellently done.
Such watches might also be spiritually understood not just a beauty accessory but as visualising the macrocosm reflecting in the microcosm, and keeping the relation visually present. It is the Science of Correspondences which is at the basis of our relation to the universe.
Last Wednesday, 19 May, I took my second anti-covid19 vaccination – there is a blog-post about my first vaccination on 21 April and about the antecedents. When I now came again to the vaccination centre at the university clinic of Berne, the queue at the entrance was longer but I had good luck: inside the tent with a corridor and a number of cabins, a patient just left and I was immediately called in. The doctor asked some questions about how I had digested the first shot – a little nausea in the evening, feeling groggy the first two days, on the third day like having a veil inside the head with some difficulties to concentrate, but from the fourth day on it was OK.
I didn’t tell what I further had observed: During meditation and on more subtle planes, there was a feeling of fog, which took more time to dissolve. After a few days I thought, everything is OK again and that the body had well digested the vaccination. There was an undercurrent of nervosity which I didn’t link to the post-vaccination reactions of the body / subtle bodies. I thought it was because of the ongoing work load and the general rush of events, which is high, though outwardly I’m living quite secluded.
Eight days ago, I contacted a couple who are friends, and especially she clairsentient, asking what might be the reason for the ongoing tenseness, if I had caught some disturbing elementals. They said that there is nothing in my aura but that they observed in my system some ongoing effects from the vaccination, a kind of subtle fissures. They did some energetic work and asked if I now felt better, and I said that yes.
Last weekend, I mentioned this observation to an American friend. He told me that his wife is a naturopath and has a number of patients having various after-effects of vaccination. We spoke about the impact the vaccinations have, but also the need to take them, in view of the much stronger impacts coming in through Covid 19 and especially its newer variants.
This was at the backside of my mind when I sat down for getting the second vaccination – it took just a few seconds. Then I received the vaccination certificate and my yellow international vaccination document with the stamps – the momentary “ticket” for travelling abroad, until the Swiss authorities, in coordination with the EU, will give out a “vaccination passport”… They told me I could immediately leave again the centre, since there was no allergic reaction the first time. And so I went out. Rain started dripping and then pouring down while bicycling back home.
In the afternoon I felt OK but the next day there was like a dense grey veil in my head. I felt disarranged, rattled. In the afternoon a friend came and brought me homoeopathic vaccination support with three little bottles of globules from a naturopathic pharmacy. The set contained Sulphur D12 to be taken one day before vaccination, Ledum C 30 for painful injection sites and Thuja C 30 for one day after injection. I took the Thuja. My friend also gave a dose of each for my wife who didn’t yet have the vaccinations and left.
When afterwards I went for a walk in a nearby forest, I was so dizzy that I thought I would not be fit to drive a car. After the evening meditation it got better – maybe it was because of the homeopathy. Today it is better, but there is still a basic tension. The body is still working to adjust.
An update: A friend asked how I am doing now – I am very fine, meditations clear, the system stable. As per my perception, everything is OK, also in the subtle realms. The debris of the vaccination substance out of the body, the necessary anti-reaction of the body well digested. I spoke with friends who are sensitive people and had taken one or two vaccinations without feeling anything. They told me of group members with normally a good sense of discrimination believing that the soul escapes from the body through the injection point… As per my experience, THAT I AM (the Soul) is permeating everything and, though sometimes my perception being clouded THAT is always there, continuously. Another friend told me, “so even if your spiritual protection prevents your problems, it’s not the case of the others…” seeing blood share from the vaccinated ones and the coming children from vaccinated people polluting the global DNA… I am not going to try clarifying views of “many mediums and healers … checking for real the disconnection of their vaccinated clients when they meet them.” I am reminded of the wisdom stories about the effects of maya (the misperception of reality) on believing the unreal to be real – only when awakening the reality of the dream dissolves. Discussion about it does not help. But wakeful observation is needed. Some of my friends had intense reactions with the second vaccination, others do not want to get vaccinated. It remains a choice with imponderabilities in each direction.

The message of the air sign Gemini is to develop right relationships with our fellow beings and the environment. When we know how to establish friendly relationships and support each other, we find joy in life. The Spiritual Hierarchy encourages us to form groups and meet together in group living situations (retreats) in order to test our ability to establish relationships. If we can establish right relationships with each group member and resolutely work together for goodwill, group initiations may become possible.

In case you are doing full moon meditations and you are interested in some deeper aspects, you might continue reading – otherwise just leave it aside.
The last days, there were some discussions about the differences regarding full moon celebrations and differences between the “Western” dates as per the solar calendar and the “Eastern” dates according to the lunar calendar.
I had some exchanges with Master Kumar for clarifications especially in relation to how to celebrate the Vaisakh festival. We write Vaisakh festival and not Wesak (Vesak) festival, as used for the Buddhist festival, the reason for which you find later below.
I am not going to explain any intricacies here – and the Master ended his last, longer letter with the words: “I wonder how many in our groups have good knowledge of Astrology. Now, we add in slow degrees the magical dimensions of the Moon. In my teachings, when I get deep into Astrology, most of the listeners get drowsy and sleepy 🙂 … The Path is made simple and is given by Patanjali and Lord Krishna. They too did not dwell into sciences of astrology and astronomy. As an aspirant transforms into a disciple and moves towards the Soul, there are always fresh revelations of wisdom. Excessive dedication towards these sciences may cause a deviation from the Path, which Krishna cautions in the 7th chapter of Bhagavad Gita. To sum up, Vaisakh festival, in its true sense, is fourfold. As one enters and walks the Path, revelations happen, which are called initiations. So much for now. I hope, I have complicated and confused. I know for certain, that you understand, since you have a tremendous hunger for knowledge. But for other simple students of Yoga, it may cause headache. Nevertheless, to satisfy advanced members, you can share to this extent.”
So, here are a few hints, taken from two letters and partly a little adapted – in case, read it with an open heart and a meditative mind – not with a questioning mind ready to jump up.
“The Wesak festival is originally known as Vaisakha Festival. Vaisakha is one of the names of Lord Sanat Kumara. Ever since He assumed to be the Lord of this planet, this festival came to be. It is ages before the advent of Lord Buddha. There is a constellation among the 27 Nakshatra constellations called Vaisakha. It is the 16th constellation. When the full moon happens in this constellation, it is celebrated as Vaisakha Festival. It is a distortion to call it as Wesak festival and Taurus festival. In the year 2021, in the month of April, on 27th, the full moon point was around 9:52 am IST when moon was in Swathi, 15th constellation. In May 2021, the full moon phase begins on 25th May at 7.51pm IST and concludes on 26 at 5.24 pm. Vaisakha begins at 4.20pm IST on 25th and concludes. The full moon point happens at 5.25 pm IST on 26th. Therefore, it is the night of 25th which is relevant for us to orient to Vaisakha Festival. A day before a after are also important. Knowledge is unendingly occult. We move into and relate as much as is known. It is important to observe the constellation in which the full moon is happening. Fact is, this festival is on 25th night, our logic and understanding apart. It would be beneficial if our members familiarize with the book on Nakshatras as a preliminary step.
The Lord Sanat Kumara conducts 4 festivals in relation to the Earth during the year.
Vaisakh Festival: The first one is introduced as the Vaisakh festival, which relates to the star (constellation) Visakha. The festival can also happen in Anuradha, which is an inseparable associate of Visakha.
Scorpio festival: The second festival happens in Scorpio during Scorpio full moon, when the Sun is in Scorpio and Moon is in Krithika (Pleiades). It can also happen in Rohini. Scorpio is known as the month of Karthika, because the full moon mostly happens when the Sun is in Scorpio and Moon is in Karthika. The aspirant in Taurus or Vaisakha tends to be an occult student in the festival of Karthika. His focus shifts from the world to the inner world. He slowly and gradually detaches from the objective world and grows in the subjective world, with regular occult practices into which he gets entry with aid of Nature or a Teacher. He consecrates himself and strenuously the practices within to relate through symbols, colours and sounds. He takes to esoteric study and gradually transforms his life. He lives more in the hidden side of the being than in the pompous and glamour side of the world. It is like a caterpillar withdrawing into a cocoon. He transforms. This is truly a transformation that leads him from personality to Soul. In Taurus, he is bound by individuality. In Scorpio, he develops radiant and magnetic personality, relating to the Soul. He tries to function as Soul and expresses through personality. This magical work culminates with a festival of Karthika, which is but Scorpio full moon. This full moon can also happen in Rohini. Rohini, and Krithika are again a pair by character. Krithika is called scissors. Rohini is called Aldebaran (birth star of Krishna).
Leo festival: The Hierarchy has a program to lead the New Group of World Servers into the Leo festival and lead the successful ones to the Leo festival, which happens when Sun is in Leo and Moon is in Sravana. The star Sravana comes from the name of the Kumara as Saravana. The purpose of the festival is to enable the disciple to be able to perceive the Plan, through sound and vision and conduct with knowledge and ability coming from the previous festival, Karthika. The star Sravana occultly bestows Mastery over the five senses, the five sense organs and five pulsations. It enables extra sensory perception.
Aquarian festival: The Aquarian festival happens when the Sun is in Aquarius and the moon is in Makha (the first constellation of Leo, which is also called Regulus). The disciple becomes a magical worker through Makha and cooperates with the Plan and continues to progress associating with the hierarchy.
Sanat Kumara presides over these four groups of World Servers in collaboration with Hierarchy. It means, the festival of Vaisakh in Taurus, the festival of Karthika in Scorpio and the festival Saravana or Sravana, the festival of Makha in Aquarius are relevant for us, in relation to Sambala and Sanat Kumara. Therefore, the members should know the moon’s placement in relation to the following stars:
Vaisakha – Visakha, Anuradha
Karthika – Krithika, Rohini
Sravana – Sravana, Dhanishta
Aquarius – Makha
When a full moon happens in these stars, the energies of Sanat Kumara are distributed which our members should know. The other full moons also happen in pairs of Stars (Nakshatra constellations), which I give below:
Aries – Chitta and Swathi
Gemini – Jyestha and Moola
Cancer – Purvashada and Uttarashada
Virgo – Purvabhadra and Uttarabhadra
Libra – Aswini and Bharani
Sagittarius – Mrugashira and Ardra
Capricorn – Pushyami and Ashlesha
Pisces – Purvaphalguni and Uttaraphalguni
In Satabhisham, Revathi, Punarvasu, they (full moons) generally do not happen. But, due to Moon’s erratic movements and varying sizes of constellations, exceptionally it may happen. These constellations and related stars have puranic clues to gain additional information relating to Cosmic and Solar intelligences. Wherever it is relevant, we relate to them for our purpose. Bringing lunar based astrology in toto would confuse what is already promoted by Hierarchy via HPB, AAB and EK.
Lastly, the new group of world servers need to move from mutable signs to fixed signs, and fixed signs to cardinal signs. Discipleship is to work with the fixed signs, eliminating the inconsistencies of the mutable signs. Therefore the four festivals are presided over by Sanat Kumara to fix the aspirant on the Path.
“Aquarian Cross” is a book dedicated for this purpose, where I eliminated introduction of the constellation to avoid confusion. It happened in 1993. After 28 years, it is revealed on demand. Teaching is but spoon feeding, but not dumping.
Moon light is magical. It brings in the energies of Venus, Neptune and Soma. Magic has its own, slippery dimension. We get into the Moon, in slow degrees. The book on the Moon itself, was given after all other books on planets. It is followed by constellation. Now this is an addendum to what is recently given on Wisdom of Nakshatras.”
When seeing the 1838 “Map or Physical Tableau and Astronomy Chart” of the French cartographer Charles V. Monin in my collection of zodiac illustrations, I noticed that most of the representations depict the zodiac in an anti-clockwise direction, while in this map the signs were arranged in a clockwise manner. So, I selected Monin’s chart to depict the “reversing of the wheel”, which is worked out by an advanced disciple on the path of spiritual ascent and liberation.
I transformed the design of the chart and arranged it over a photo of a sunrise. In the centre of the zodiacal wheel, I constructed the triangles of the four elements, placing the air sign Gemini at the top. Air is considered the subtlest of the four elements, followed by fire, water and earth. In spirituality, there is a fifth element, space, being the foundation of the other four. In the chart, it is represented by the surrounding space.
At the bottom of the image, I inserted elements of a painting by the 18th-century English artist Joseph Wright of Derby. You see a group of people around an armillary sphere, an astronomical device for displaying the movement of celestial bodies. It is a symbol of the relationship between the microcosm and macrocosm, and of studying the cosmic interrelations.
The symbolism of Gemini is visualised in the twelve Gemini paintings done between 2010 and 2021. For detailed detailed descriptions please see the ludgerphilips.org website.
