The Essence of the Journey to India

Friday, June 10th, 2022

Looking back to the journey to India 10 days after returning, the impact of the experiences slowly become clearer. The memories of details recede; exchanges with close friends or with my wife have given shape to certain moments by telling about them. But there is more to it, and it needs time to digest. It is one thing to be under the direct impact of situations and exchanges and it is another to observe transformations happening inside and to perceive how the trip was enriching to the inner growth of awareness. There were moments and observations which have contributed to it.

Entrance to the hall

I have been at many group lives and seminars with Master Kumar over the last 25 years – journeys to India, in Europe, to North and South America. I have been keen on absorbing the teachings, on digesting them by intense taking notes, on developing a network of like-minded people. Friendships developed or were deepened. There were incidences and encounters which moved and partly challenged me – health issues, digesting situations and impressions, re-stabilizing in everyday life after some climax experiences. There were ideas for projects or service activities coming up which needed to be developed through months and years. This has been much enriching for my life. It was and is an unfoldment to many dimensions.

The last journey has been special – short but again very intense: two days of travelling, five days of group living, long hours of meditation, of rituals, of long lectures of the Master full of energy and with great presence, where he was surmounting all physical disabilities, radiating joyfulness, uplifting the large group present in the hall and outside and also participating online somewhere on the planet. Intense talks; eating in the hall with the other Westerners, where mindful and cheerful Indian ladies, group members, took lovingly care of serving us food; being accommodated as a group in the houses of group members in the surrounding. Sleeping on a mattress on the floor, short nights, getting up at a quarter to four, having time for bathroom and doing asanas before going to the morning prayers. Witnessing much attention of many helpers looking to the many details of organising – arrivals and departures of the participants, housing, transports – in an unexcited and efficient way… A strong presence of group consciousness with a pleasant absence of a commercial attitude. An experience of brotherhood.

A reflection of fire ritual in an image of Master M.

After the journey, I try to distil what I should integrate into my way of life and add to my daily or weekly practices. This part goes more to the core and has a long lasting influence. There were hints of Sri Kumar which impressed me – on the importance of one-to-one relations in group building; on sharing one’s knowledge about the Hierarchy and the wisdom teachings and letting friends and relatives participate; on the inner strength needed for conducting ritualistic work and its magnetism; on the power of inner relating and visualising; on feeling the Master consciousness existing as ourselves and recollecting the presence of the Master. Not much can be mentioned here. But applying such hints is the essence of experience and development. Otherwise, things are quickly forgotten, and the journey would just have been an entertaining adventure.

The French Version of the Sripada Biography has Come to Light

Thursday, April 28th, 2022

It was a long journey, together with this biography – and it reflected in this blog since November 2014. But now it is out, in French, published in PDF form.

An German version cam in December 2016, an English version in summer 2019. When I first informed the groups of WTT on 22 January 2015, after returning from India, about the “Biography of Sripada Srivallabha, Avatar of Lord Dattatreya”, I wrote:

“According to Master DK, the motto of India is “I hide the Light”. One of the most brilliant lights still very much hidden in India is the knowledge of the Avatars of Lord Dattatreya, the Cosmic Teacher Principle. Sripada Srivallabha (1320-1350) is the first incarnation (avatara) of Lord Dattatreya in this cycle. Only a few years ago appeared the biography of Sripada (“Sreepada Sreevallabha Charitaamrutam”) in English…. 6 January 2015, the group of the WTT-seminar visited Pithapuram, the place where Sripada incarnated about 700 years ago. Master KPK gave an introduction to this visit and after the visit a further explanation…”

And: “A German and Spanish translation are on the way. If you are interested to translate the book to another language, you might contact me….

The next day, my French friend from New Caledonia contacted me: “Well, so this translation is definitely my plan just after I finish what I translate right now … So let’s say, that I’ll start in ARIES !!!” So he started.

He only told me today, when I sent him the old e-mail, over 7 years later: “Actually, it started way back then, in Dattatreya ashram in Mysore in 2006 I think, where I made first a promise to translate something of Datta in French given to me there, but for some reason, it was always postponed and abandoned. But I finally fulfilled this promise with the KPK booklet about Sri Datta. It was but the first step toward more translation with the biography, preparing myself to meet again Sri Datta. So I stepped into a more daily practise with Him…”

We did not yet know beginning 2015 that in the course of developing the German version the need would come up to develop a new English version. And that after the German version was published in 2016, together with a new website about Sripada and the avatars of Lord Dattatreya , and the first new edition of the English version in 2019, it would take 3 more years for the French version to appear. And many obstacles had to be overcome, with great perseverance.

But this is nothing, compared to the fact that the biography was written during Sripada’s life time in the 14th century AD, but, as decreed by him, the work was kept secret for thirty three generations. It came to light in 2001, first published in Telugu and then translated into several other languages.
It is an extraordinary book about Sripada Srivallabha, the first incarnation of Lord Dattatreya. In an exciting and entertaining way, it gives an insight into the fascinating life of Sripada, his sportive plays, teachings, prophecies and miracles. However, it also demands a will to go into it.

When I asked Sri Kumar, why he did not mention the avatars of Lord Dattatreya in his small book about Sri Dattatreya, he replied: “The West cannot understand”. For years, he waited until Westerners started showing interest. He did not want to push anything which was not requested. But more and more started to request this book and the interest grew.

My friend Sébastien, the translator, will get a few copies printed in New Caledonia in a simple print version, without images – you might contact him. If you are interested in organizing a print on demand version in Europe or America or further diffusion of the book, please contact me.

You can download the book here for free. See also here. On this website of WTT-Global you also find the other language versions.

In the book Sripada says about the book: “I will remain in a subtle form in every place where My biography is devotedly read.” “Don’t think that Sri Charitamrutam book is a mere book. It is a live stream of a glorious consciousness.”

Signs from the Subtle World

Monday, April 4th, 2022

For Pisces 2022, I created an image called “The Blessings of Lord Maitreya“; it is also posted in the blog. The description says: “Maitreya received the wisdom under a ficus (fig) tree at the eastern entrance to a cave which is said to be at Sravasti, in a region north of Mount Kailash. It is today called Shigatse by the Tibetans. It is believed that the ficus tree is still there even today and that he continues to bless the entire planet and humanity during the morning and evening hours.”

When I recently visited friends of mine, the wife told me that she felt touched by the painting and shared an experience she had at Shigatse. I regive it here from my memory.
In the 1990s, they wanted to go to Tibet, but since at the time they had planned to travel, visitors from abroad were not allowed to go there, they decided to fly to China and see on site where to travel.

Together with a guide, they went to a travel agency. There, they were asked where they would like to go. They said, to Tibet but this would not be possible for foreigners. The person in the office said, why not? and told them that they can organise a journey and proposed to go to Shigatse. My friends did the trip.

When they arrived at Shigatse, the wife unexpectedly experienced the presence of Lord Maitreya and saw a vision in the sky. She immediately addressed him with the words: “Oh Lord, can you please help humanity which is undergoing so much problems and suffering!” Then, the words formed in her head: “We have given to humanity all we can but humanity does not apply. We cannot help unless they put to practice what has already been given…”

They later visited the monastery in Shigatse (Tashi Lhunpo) and they saw a huge statue of Maitreya (description) worshipped as the Buddha in charge of the future. There, the wife experienced again the presence she had felt on arrival in Shigatse.

I was deeply touched by her story bearing witness of the reality of the subtle worlds. And I told her about an experience which had expressed in a painting in March 2010.

On seeing the Pisces 2022 painting about the blessing of Lord Maitreya under a ficus tree, another friend told me about a huge sacred ficus tree she had seen in Yangshuo, China and shared some photos.

P.S.: April 11th 2022: When reading the above story, my friend wrote me the following words:

It is nice how you share your experiences with those who are interested. I would like to briefly recount the experience in Shigatze: We were sitting in a quiet place at the edge of a meadow for the 6 pm meditation. My eyes were closed. I felt someone standing in front of me and directed my inner gaze towards it. I “saw” a very tall golden pillar. I kept looking up until finally the unimaginably benevolent smiling face of Buddha Maitreya could be ‘seen’. I addressed him and he replied, on a spiritual level of course.

The next day we visited the monastery in Shigatze. There stood Buddha Maitreya exactly as I had ‘seen’ Him the day before: Huge tall and smiling. This Maitreya, however, was to be touched, he was there quite concretely as a work of art. I remember that the Chinese tour guide said he was 26 m high and that I read it that way too. (I can hardly imagine that now).”

I read at several places on the web that the statue is indeed 26.2 m high. It is in the Maitreya Chapel of the monastery, a tall red building with a gold roof at the complex’s northwestern corner, built in 1914 by the ninth Panchen Lama. But this is the outer artwork only. The subtle presence of Maitreya is not limited to this. So better look for an inner image than an outer form. Even if you do not feel an inner presence, it might be some “screen travelling” with the computer to Shigatze.

And still another friend shared a beautiful big old book (PDF, 22 MB) of Swami Pranavananda on “Kailas – Manasarovar” from 1949, where you also find old maps of Tibet / the area of Mt Kailash as well as various pilgrimage paths to the Mount. Here, you see the path from Lhasa via Shigartse (written this way) to Kailas / Manasarovar.

And she also added some beautiful pics from their journeys to the Mount full of spiritual magnetism.

Group Life CVV Sharing 2022

Wednesday, March 23rd, 2022

During the period of the spring equinox, we – a group of 18 friends of the CVV energy of synthesis – met in the Wendland region of northern Germany for a four-day group living. It was the 13th CVV Sharing meeting.

The “Seminarhof Drawehn” in Kassau is situated on the edge of a small village and it has grown out of an old farmstead. Its centre is a beautiful 12-angular building with a spiral roof. Its large windows open a wide view over fields and forests.

During the meeting we followed a rhythm of longer and shorter meditations alternating with sharing in smaller and larger groups and walks in nature.

For this year’s programme, the preparation team had planned more free time for exchanges, and the meeting was also one day longer. We spent the exact time of the equinox in meditation and contemplation on the energy manifesting at the moment of entry into Aries.

We talked in smaller and bigger groups about what moves us, how we keep the inner connection in the flood of information in everyday life and how we live with the influences of the present time.

We also delved into Sri Kumar’s message for the year 2022/23, and a fascinating input on the current planetary constellation seen through the symbolic language of Greek mythology opened up a deeper understanding. Sunday evening, a group member led us through an exercise on the symbols and qualities of the seven rays.

Sunday morning after meditation, we gathered outside for a small fire ritual. Despite the wind and icy temperature, it was a sublime experience to welcome the new year with the fire and the rising sun.

Next year’s meeting will again take place at the same place at the beginning of spring, while a shorter meeting is planned for the autumn equinox 2022 in Hamburg.

A Mountain Excursion

Thursday, November 4th, 2021

At places where nature is particularly beautiful and tranquillity prevails, we might sense a special sublime energy, when we have an orientation to the inside. Otherwise, we will just walk by without noticing anything special. We can find such places of energy at riversides, forests, mountain valleys, waterfalls or lakes. With a certain sensitivity and a keen eye, we may experience the sublime presence of high souls through subtle hints, without being emotional about it. Such places are subtle ashrams and they might also be in the proximity of our villages, towns and cities. But we have to develop the necessary faculty and approach them with an attitude of respect. Then, it is good to visit such points from time to time in a spirit of pilgrimage.

Sunday 17 October, there was a clear golden sunshine, and my wife and I decided on a short notice to make an excursion to the Lauterbrunnen valley near Interlaken for a walking tour. It is a beautiful valley about 60 km from our home, surrounded on one side by the towering mountains Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau and on the other side by the Schilthorn. The meaning of the word “Lauterbrunnen” is “pure fountain”.

We wanted to walk from Lauterbrunnen to Stechelberg at the end of the valley, then take the cable car to Mürren, a mountain village on a terrace above the valley at the foot of the Schilthorn. It cannot be reached by public road, only by cable cars. From there, we wanted to walk along the edge to Grütschalp and from there back by another cable car to Lauterbrunnen.

At the parking, view into the valley

We did not want to take the huge parking house in the town but went to a little open-air parking outside Lauterbrunnen. And we had to smile about the “analogous” way of collecting the fee, not with a machine but in an envelope and noting hand-written the details of the stay…
The valley shone in glistening sunlight. I had to think of the visit to Yosemite valley two years ago.

On the opposite side there were already the famous Staubbachfalls pouring down the rocks for nearly 300 meters like pure energy of liquid dust – the meaning of the name of the falls – an overwhelming feeling of purity and majesty.

The Staubbachfalls coming down the rocks

We crossed the valley and went along the Weisse Lütschine river to a nearby camping site where we wanted to have lunch. When we turned towards the falls, there was a children playground and behind it a graveyard.

The graveyard is, in this perspective, directly under the falls

My wife immediately felt the presence of a great number of earthbound souls hovering around. I also sensed them – many seem to get stuck on the way up due to today’s materialistic orientation and ignorance about the subtle worlds. We went into a little road next to the cemetery. My wife started doing her inner work ( I have blogged about it several times); I also did some visualisation guiding them towards the light. We did not want to attract the attention of the passing tourists and kept it short.

The gorgeous Staubbach Falls

The noon light was shining on the downpour of waters and the air was filled with the shining “water dust” coming down along the rocks – a most sublime presence. You can easily imagine some dancing devas.

We then came along an old house covered with grass…

… and, on the way to the restaurant, of a chalet full of flowers before the windows.

Entrance to the restaurant

After lunch in open air, we took the path along the river which was glittering like molten sunlight.

We quickly went on, passed by the Trümmelbach waterfalls inside a mountain – we had seen another time.

At one point you can see the Mount Jungfrau through a small valley. The perspective reminded me of a photo of Mount Kailash in Tibet. Pyramid-like or conical mountains are particularly good at bringing energies down to the earth. You might read more about it in the Lunar Messenger about Pyramid and Double Pyramid.

Cow bell music
Crossing a little bridge

Towards the end of the valley, there is the rope-way station of Stechelberg going up to Mürren. A cabin just left on our arrival, so we had to wait for the next one. In the station, there were again a number of East Asian tourists and others. The lady at the cash desk was happy that tourism is coming back to normal.

View from the rope-way down to Stechelberg
View of Mount Eiger and the famous North Face

Coming out of the station in Mürren, there is a breathtaking view of the towering mountains on the other side. At one place, there was a scaffold for a new construction near the edge of the cliff. Some tourists were standing around, and one of them suddenly climbed up for the group to take pics of him. We felt, OMG, he is crazy – deaths through selfies and tourist photos is globally rising high.

Village buildings near the edge of the cliff
A wooden mask at an old barn – in older times a means to ward of evil spirits

We walked through the village along hotels and lodges, partly already closed until winter, and then followed the railway leading to Grütschalp. Most tourists took the train or another cable-car. We continued walking – soon there were nearly no more hikers.

At the railway station in Mürren

Walking along the rails and the electrical cables was not so nice, so we decided to try a way up. One road was blocked due to repair; the way we chose was a bit steep in the beginning and the sunlight was dazzling me. I had to close the eyes and felt dizzy. My wife helped me to continue up the rocky path through the forest. When after a while we arrived on a plateau, there was a mountain biker waiting for us to give way. He then jumped down over the rocks with great speed- we wondered how he could manage to do so – and avoid other hikers coming up.

Mountain hut at the upper plateau

Now the path became broader and slowly went down.

The whole time there were varying views of the “holy trinity”, Eiger, Mönch (monk) and Jungfrau mountains. For a while, we focused to perceive the subtle energies of the mountain range, and there was a feeling of sublime deva presence. We thought of Master Kumar mentioning that there is an ashram in the subtle spheres around Mount Jungfrau. (You can read more about subtle ashrams in the book of Sri Kumar on “Ashram – Regulations for Entry“.)

Jungfrau meaning virgin, Virgo. There was a profound pristine purity around. Switzerland is said to be ruled astrologically by Virgo – and this was like the manifestation of the quality.

On the other side of the valley, there was the village of Wengen. My thoughts went back to an important seminar of Master Kumar in Wengen about Sri Suktam, the hymn of the World Mother in 2002 – at the feet of the Virgin Mountain. (There exists an English transcription and a German translation of the seminar.)

My wife walking along

It was still some distance until Grütschalp and in the shadow it was nippy. At some places we saw some pieces of frost. At others, there were turnpike-like metal structures. We wondered what they were good for – and discovered that they belong to the snow-making system of the ski slopes… We imagined the masses of skiers coming soon in winter.

But now, we were the only hikers on the way, surrounded by profound silence. Although a bit tired, we were like impregnated by the gorgeous panorama.

At Grütschalp, the tourists coming by mountain train from Mürren and other places arrived at the top station of the rope-way. From there, it goes down to the Lauterbrunnen train station and from there to Interlaken and other places. When gliding down into the valley, the high mountains looked as if they were sinking behind the promontories – a final view, and then they were hidden behind the steep rock walls of the valley.

Above Lauterbrunnen

A final walk through Lauterbrunnen, back to the parking and then driving home. A big traffic jam awaited us on the highway – we were not the only ones who took advantage of the nice weather.

Sublime Beauty of Girnar

Monday, October 11th, 2021

10 days ago, a friend sent me some photos of Mount Girnar, a very sacred place in Gujarat, India, linked to Lord Dattatreya, where he is said to dwell. In 2018, my friend Srinivas sent me some copies of the book “Experiencing Divinity” written and self-published by Pramod Kene. It is about his spiritual discipline of climbing Mount Girnar 50 times. (The publisher is given as: Pramod Kene, Vartak Aali, Chaul, Talula Alibag, District Raigad, Maharashtra – 402203, India. Price: Rs.300/-)

I read the book with great fascination and distributed the extra-copies to friends. Srinivas now also gave a text extract from the book of Sri Kene about Mount Girnar, which you find below. You might not understand all the expressions in the text but you can read it with the heart. Srinivas also sent the pics of a sunrise at Girnar and a video, but it is not published on the web. So I give another video from YouTube for you to get an impression of climbing the sacred mount.

“Girnar is an immutable abode of Sri Datta Maharaj. There is no place for doubt whatsoever.

This is the place where Sri Dattatreya Swamy has given in person Darshan to many saints. It is no wonder that from the immemorial several Siddha Yogis are engrossed in sadhana in the caves of Girnar.

The unparalleled beauty and grandeur of Mount Girnar is simply breathtaking…!

Girnar is “TAPOBHOOMI”, a land dedicated to sadhana and tapasya of Sri Datta Maharaj.

It is on the summit of Mount Girnar where Sri Datta Maharaj did tapas for 12000 years leaving “CHARANA PADUKA” behind that are a source of motivation to all Sri Datta Devotees.

All the avatars of the almighty had their work associated with the needs of that specific time line whereas the avatar of Sri Datta Maharaj is immortal and his work is timeless.

Sri Datta Maharaj is Guru of the Gurus and till data Swamy continues to guide all.

The blessings obtained in return of our deep and faithful devotion towards Sri Datta are undoubtedly manifold.

The task of punishing and bringing a strayed devotee back on the righteous path can only be done by Sri Datta.

The more you adore him, the more Sri Datta Maharaj radiates his affection in return.

The moment one enters the virtuous land of Girnar one can feel the positive vibes.

At a height of 3666 feet, is the pinnacle of Mount Girnar and is the dwelling of Gorakhkshanath. He did some very rigorous tapas here owing to which Sri Datta Maharaj blessed him by giving him personal darshan. Located here are Gorakhkshanath “Charan Paduka and Dhuni”.

Adjacent is a small tunnel and it is believed that one who passes through this tunnel gets away to “MUKTI”.

Next peak in line is the GuruShikar. GuruShikar is straight up and conical in shape.

At its top, at a height of 3630 feet above sea level, located are the CharanPaduka of Sri Datta Maharaj that are controlling the UNIVERSE.

Generally, the place of Guru is at the topmost position, but Gorakhkshanath prayed to Sri Datta Maharaj that he be at such a location that he could get a view of the Charan Paduka of Sri Datta Maharaj all the time. Sri Datta Maharaj agreed to this and for this reason, the Gorakhksha peak is slightly higher then GuruShikar.

From here Gorakhkshanath takes darshan of the Charan Paduka of Sri Datta Maharaj.

In ShivPuran Girnar is referred to as Revataachal Mountain.

In Skand Puran, it is named as Raivat, Revataachal, Kumud, Ujjayant.

The names Revataachal, Kumud, Ujjayant are associated with “Trimurti”.

There are indications in the puranas that Lord Ram and the Pandavs lived here in Girnar.

As per historic indications, “Girnar is older than Himalaya”.”

12th CVV-Sharing Group Life, in Hamburg

Saturday, October 9th, 2021

We met in the time-space of the Libra equinox 2021 in the spirit of the ONE Master-Energy. 19 members from Denmark, Germany and Switzerland could overcome all obstacles and came to Hamburg for this 12th “CVV Sharing” group life from 24 – 26 September 2021.

A stormy evening at the Elbe river in Hamburg the night before the meeting

The energy of synthesis brought us together once again. We met in the San Bao centre, a school for Tai Chi and Qigong in a quiet backyard. Through the windows we could see from time to time some other people of a silence retreat practicing conscious walking. Also inside, it was a simple but beautiful place.

Picture of Master CVV on the windowsill

The motto of the meeting was “CVV activates change. Be the change by tuning into the energy of synthesis.” The keynote from Master KPK given for this year’s CVV Sharing was: “Just relate to Me in and around in all that surrounds you, animate or inanimate. Thereby you reach Me. Abandon all other religious rules and regulations. They are a burden.”

Rishi Agastya – Master Jupiter. The window sills were decorated with pictures of some great Masters

The meeting started with the Friday evening meditation. In the afternoon we met with the organising team in a nearby AirBnB-flat and later prepared the assembly hall. Corona times demanded certain registrations, also in the restaurants. There were new stricter rules in Hamburg but they did not touch us. It was heart-warming to meet again. In the evening, Benjamin shared some reflections on the energy of equinox. Ute introduced some thoughts of how the group might relate in the night and during morning prayer, which we had in our respective accommodations. During the days, we had meditations/prayers every three hours. The evenings concluded with the Mystic Mantrams of Master CVV.

The group members were proposed to bring symbols or things as their expression of the energy of synthesis. Saturday morning, each member presented his or her item with some words, and decorated with them a shelf as a small altar during the group life – symbols, candles ….

The small altar

Throughout the day we experienced different aspects of the MASTER energy through meditations, rituals, little inputs, group works, sharing in the forum. There were also breaks for personal contacts and exchange.

Saturday morning we did an experiment with a meditative ritual – first linking to the energies of the directions, then a guided visualisation, “Buddhi Sharing”, a group meeting on the inner platform, and afterwards an exchange in the group.

A spiral with stones from the Baltic Sea and candles indicating the four directions and the centre

In the afternoon there was an input and an exchange about the qualities of the present time followed by a triangle group exchange in small varying sub-groups about our relation to groups.

Sunday morning, members presented inspirational thoughts / quotes / poems they wanted to share with the group. Afterwards there was an “open space” and an exchange about the future development of the CVV Sharing meetings. A next meeting is already planned for spring equinox at a seminar centre in North Germany.

At noon we joined as a group the World Health and Healing prayer. And after lunch, there was already the closing round, clean-up and departure. A magic time-space closed again only to open up again in future at some other moment.

For me, 1.5 days of travelling back followed, with a friend from South Germany and an overnight-stay at the home of other group members. It was a very intense and rich time, after a longer period of mainly virtual group meetings.

Thoughts about the Passing of a Good Friend

Sunday, September 5th, 2021

Today two weeks ago, Jannes suddenly passed over. I was deeply touched when I read the e-mail of his parents informing that he had left – a thrombosis in the brain. His 33rd birthday would have been three days ago.

When I sent out the information via the mailing lists to the groups of the WTT, there were many reaction. Many people in different parts of the world knew Jannes. He had grown up in Berlin in a family deeply related to the WTT, and so he had participated in various group lives with Master Kumar, where I had met him early.

In 2006, I spent a week with my family in their home in Berlin. Jannes was 17, my boys 15 and 13. Jannes already had a pilot’s licence for gliders since the age of 15. And he even had a glider he could use, a 2-seater. It was stationed on a glider airfield in Brandenburg, an old military airport from GDR times, not far from Berlin. He spent all his free time there, in the aero-club. And he invited us for a flight. It was a great adventure for all of us.

I did the first tour. Shortly after starting, we reached an updraft and in small spirals we zoomed up like in an elevator, up to 1200m. Then we went to a tour over the country for 45 minutes. The next flights were my sons and my wife. The next days we went to different places in Berlin together with the Berlin group, and Jannes.

I met him several times in India. He was always very help-oriented, and so I asked him to take care of organising things for the group, which he did very willingly. I always tried to integrate young people in goodwill activities, for which it needs time, willingness to selflessly commit themselves, skills and the readiness to work in a team network. And endurance to carry out, under a certain supervision. Few were willing or able to do so. Jannes was.

In 2012 already, I had asked him to help preparing the German pages for the relaunch of the WTT website – quite a lot of work, and he was the only one working on this, carefully. In 2016, when we dared to bring a major part of the WTT website into Portuguese language, with the help of an American lady, a retired translator living in Sao Paulo, he also did it single-handedly.

At the same time, and besides his studies, he earned his living. Jannes worked in an organisation selling magazine subscription for nature organizations – for the birds, for the Nature Federation of Germany, etc. – a touch job, but he liked it. They went for a week or two to a certain area in Germany and there went from house to house, according to a plan, trying to get subscription contracts. From there, he received the money.

From a distance, I witnessed different crises he was going through, crises of relations which broke, crises in his studies, in the search to find his path. It was a rigorous training by life. From time to time we exchanged about it.

Jannes’ great dream was to become a Lufthansa pilot. He had to overcome a number of difficulties, and it was a challenging formation in Europe and in the US, but he succeeded. And there were long times between the trainings. So, he studied economy and later physics – he did not want to rely on being a pilot only. He did a bachelor and was about to do a Master degree. When he got his pilot licence, Lufthansa had stopped employing new pilots, so he went for a while to Air Berlin. Later, he got his job with German Wings, an airline belonging to Lufthansa but with lower wages. But then a little virus made its tour over the globe, and with the pandemia breakdown many pilots could not fly. Jannes was on short-time work and he focused on his studies.

The last time we met was in 2019 at Mount Shasta in California, during the May Call seminar with Master Kumar, his last international tour.

The last direct contact I had with Jannes was beginning of this year, when I asked him if he could help in the digital archives project, and he said yes. But the stage where he could be of help had not yet come. He passed over on Leo full moon. Thursday before his passing, Master Kumar had written:

“Jannes is very dear to me and to all of us. We let him go today himself as moon is ascending towards Full moon by Sunday. He finds his way into freer and lighter world. We join forces for his peaceful and later joyful journey. Om Santhi.”

Unpacking “The Seven Waves of Life”

Friday, August 20th, 2021

Last Tuesday, a registered parcel from India arrived which I was waiting for: 5 copies of the new book of Dr. K. Parvathi Kumar on “The Seven Waves of Life. The Path of Human Evolution“, sent by Aquarius Bookhouse Visakhapatnam. I eagerly unpacked the parcel and finally held the printed book in hand – a very significant moment which I had waited for since long.

In January 2005, there was a very special group living in Visakhapatnam. The topic of the teachings was “The Seven Races” – an introduction into “Anthropogenesis”, the second volume of H.P. Blavatsky’s (1831 – 1891) masterpiece “The Secret Doctrine“. She presented certain ideas that no others had presented before. Her description of chains, globes, rounds and root races and also the states of planet earth in relation to every race is profound and complex. Master Kumar gave a synthetic introduction into the topic of the seven races. He started his teachings with the words:

“We shall start learning together our own story as we arrived here, how we developed our bodies to be what we are now, how we have lost our identities in the process, and the way to regain such identities. We get into the root of our own being. You will need to read these teachings again and again to assimilate what has been said because it would relate to us, to our most ancient past as we all have been the players through all these waves of humanity. Do not think they are all foreign to us. This is all our story only.”

It was a fantastic seminar – for those who had some knowledge of Blavatsky’s teachings. Others had difficulties with the terms and concepts. I wrote plenty of notes and was profoundly impressed. Thoughts came often back to these fundamental teachings and the encounters with group members there. Now in book form, the teachings are a good read and well digestible, if you are interested to know more about the times of Lemuria, Atlantis and the development of our own past.

Years passed by. When in 2017 Vijay, and Indian friend started to transcribe the seminar, we studied it in the online study group. He finished it in 2018 – a year where I had to pass about two months in hospital and rehabilitation. I used the time for proof-reading and structuring the text for a publication. Already before, I discussed with friends that Blavatsky’s terminology of races, root races or sub-races might be disputed in today’s understanding: In much of today’s world, the word race is much disputed and used with regard to skin colour and ethnic origins. It evokes ideas of racism which was not there in Secret Doctrine. The original definition of the words “root race” has to do with the beginning of a whole wave of evolution. So we searched for another term and asked the Master if race could be replaced by “waves” – human waves, or just humanity. He agreed – and he even had used the term “wave” in an earlier publication.

Proof-reading by several group members and working on the publication, giving of footnotes to sources used, adding images etc. took time. The book was finally published now in 2021 (PDF).

A digital version is very fine, but it is like talking to friends only digitally. For studying spiritual books, I always use paper versions. I wanted to have the book physically, on paper. It took time – for some months, there were difficulties to send parcels to Europe via post due to the pandemia. But now it worked. The books I received will go to people involved in the translation and publication work, just one will stay with me. If you would like to order one, you can do so via Aquarius Bookhouse Visakhapatnam. In the States, you might find it also via Amazon – a friend got some copies shipped from India to distribute them there.

But be aware, it is not a “mass production” with the related global distribution – there is a lot of selfless work behind to make the book available to sincere seekers, especially also the dispatch. Maybe order some books at a time, for some friends, or also some other books which you might be interested in.

I was touched about the way the parcel was sewn into linen and packed inside for the long journey. A precious gift. But don’t mistake having it electronically on your computer or even in paper form on the bookshelf without having integrated the content. It needs patient inner work.

Inner Encounter with Master EK

Monday, August 9th, 2021

I never met Master EK physically. However, his call reached me already in the early 80s of the last century and it increased over the years. A retrospect.

I first heard of Master EK around 1981/82 through Rudolf M., a mysterious individual, who deeply influenced my spiritual path directly or indirectly over several decades – a story about which I haven’t blogged yet, being very strange. I only mentioned him once anonymously in a blogpost on “Birthday of H.B.P. – An Way into the Secret Doctrine.” It is another story, though deeply linked with my further contacts over 20 years to Master EK.

In the beginning of the 80s, Rudolf gave me several hectographed texts of a still unpublished book, the “Vishnu Purana” by a certain Dr. E. Krishnamacharya (Master EK). Rudolf didn’t mention where he had the papers from. I later came to know that they were from the IPS in Geneva, with which I later was loosely related for a number of years. In the foreword of a later publication of the book, it says: “It all started in 1981, when we asked Dr. Krishnamacharya to give a seminar on the Yoga of Patanjali at the IPS headquarters in Geneva… The articles on the Vishnu Purana were published for the first time in ‘My Light’, the magazine of the World Teacher Trust in India. Dr. Krishnamacharya authorised the IPS to reproduce these articles and helped edit them for the Western mentality. This work was discontinued some years after he passed away, so that only 53 chapters are now available through the IPS, either on paper or through the internet….”

Although I was with an Indian teacher for 8 years and even became a meditation teacher and more, I could not understand the texts and put them into a box in the basement. But somehow the seed of interest was sown.

Rudolf found my then spiritual teacher a fake and told me, probably in 1981, that a real Indian teacher would come and give classes on Spiritual Astrology in Munich, this Dr. Krishnamacharya. I should go there. I said no – I didn’t want to change gurus nor leave my then teacher.
But one year later, summer 82, I left the teacher and his movement and, a little later, also cut the contact with Rudolf for 5 years.

The meetings and the breach with Rudolf happened in my old home town in Germany. In 86, I moved to Switzerland and in 87, I wanted to present this mysterious man to my then girlfriend, my later wife. During the visit, he gave me a booklet with “a very powerful initiation mantram”, the “Mystic Mantrams” booklet (PDF) of Master EK. I was impressed. During about 2 years, I regularly meditated these mantrams every evening.

In autumn 1988, Johannes Weder, a mid-octogenarian theosophist, visited us in our then home in Switzerland. He had heard that we were in contact with Daskalos, the “Magus of Strovolos”, Dr. Stylianos Atteshlis (1912 – 1995) in Cyprus and wanted to know more about him. My mother-in-law had sent a friend to Cyprus to search for Daskalos, and then we went 4 times to Cyprus visiting him (another untold story).

We had a profound exchange with Johannes and he invited us to come to his home in Rodgau near Frankfurt, Germany. He had a huge library with many theosophical books, and, before he might pass over, he offered that I could chose the books I was interested in. We visited him in summer 1989 – and when we left, we had two big banana boxes with treasures of rare old theosophical books and also all the books of Master EK published until then, and further all the manuscripts of Albert Sassi, whom Master EK had met several times in the Nilagiris.

With Johannes in Rodgau 1989

First, these books slept in the banana boxes. I went through them but it was much too much for me to read.

In summer 1990, Rudolf M. settled in Switzerland and initiated the Agni School (dissolved since over 15 years), which I joined for 10 years, from January 1991 on. It must have been beginning of 1992 that Rudolf asked me to translate for the group a longer text which he had written himself, as he said. When I started translating, I felt, I had seen the text before …. in one of the two boxes in the basement. I searched and found it – “Music of the Soul“, by Master EK.
I was much confused and confronted Rudolf, whom we started regarding as a Master, with my finding. He said, “You don’t understand anything.”

I felt shy and intimidated. I now continued translating with this book and when ready, I gave it to the Agni group. Over the next 8 years, until I left, I continued translating other texts of Master EK for the group, about 16 books and booklets, nearly all not published. But the work helped me to go deep, and I thus dived deep into his teachings. The German translations became a great treasure shared on request.
I came to know more about the World Teacher Trust, but members of the Agni School were told not to contact members of other groups, except when we, as a group, contacted the groups. Otherwise, it was considered spiritual treachery.

So I was very much with Master EK but without any contacts to members of the World Teacher Trust. This changed in August 1997, when the Agni School group met with Master Kumar and other members of the World Teacher Trust at a seminar in Germany. From then on, slowly an opening started – it lead to my leaving the Agni School in April 2000, my joining the World Teacher Trust and starting the Circle of Good Will.

I met many people who had met Master EK and told me about their experiences. My inner contact with Master EK kept growing deeper. I started studying all his books, bringing them from India and distributing them for free to seekers. It went again much deeper when online study groups started from 2015 on where we read his books in English and in German.

Yesterday, a German group member told me “A few years ago, with the approval of the Master (KPK), I started a project called ‘My Way to the Trust’. I interviewed people and recorded it at the same time… Since many people didn’t want, I stopped it.” This gave me the impulse to tell this story, on the occasion of Master EK’s 95th birthday (Western counting: 1926 – 1984) on 11 August 2021.
