Blogging Pause

Tuesday, May 23rd, 2006

The next three weeks we will be a lot on the road and there won’t be much occasion for blogging – I’m no “moblogger” (mobile weblog writer)… So there won’t be any posts from May 24th – 31st 🙁

The next post are probably on 1st and/or 2nd of June, but just for short.

Daily Reflections

Thursday, May 11th, 2006

Yesterday a friend from Canada wrote via e-mail: “I enjoyed reading your Weblog. It goes on and on. Very nice daily reflections. For how long are you planning to do that? quite a commitment.”
I answered: “I have no idea how it will evolve, the idea to do it came in a split-second on March 30th, and I started the next day with the weblog. I think it will go on as long as there is the impulse and the ideas. Up to now every early morning before meditation I write one thought, which is fit to be shared with a public. There are so many things which go on, but better are kept back. Fine, that you enjoy reading it. It is a great joy writing. I am astonished myself how many situations pop-up to be seen in the light of the wisdom teachings.”

Interchange of Spheres

Sunday, April 30th, 2006

Yesterday morning I went by car to pick up our eldest son and his computer equipment from a friend’s house, where he had spent the night. They wanted to do online games, but the line was broken. He just had upgraded to a new version of his favorite game Guild Wars, and he is bent on diving into the new dimensions of this virtual world, where a great number of people are participating. When he is gaming, it is just his body sitting in front of the computer, his mind is far away.
He is absorbed for hours, and getting him out for meals or for other things is quite difficult. Where is an individual in such a state? It seems that the mind is linked off from the physical, forgetting its needs. I myself am working very much with the computer, though not gaming, but following my lines of professional or spiritual work. I also experience this state of absorption in a way, and I often ponder on what is happening through the virtual spheres intermingling with the outer physical worlds. There are so many strata of human consciousness and interests reflected in the ocean of bits and bytes. It is like a concretisation of the emotional and the mental plane, being made visible on the screen, showing a spectrum of the mental focus, often circling around the famous triangle of money, sex and crime.
The transitions between the gross outer and the more subtle world of the virtual sphere are floating. Yesterday evening we ha a visit by a couple from a South-East European country, who had come into contact with us via our good-will website. We had a fascinating exchange. The exchange will continue via the digital channels. Where does the outer, where the digital start and end? It is the same with the subtle states of consciousness you experience in meditation. It also acts upon the grosser spheres, when you regularly attune to it. this principle of interchanging the spheres allows you to live in a higher state of consciousness and at the same time be active in an outer activity.

Wayside Flowers …

Saturday, April 1st, 2006

I was on the way buying a new alarm-clock for my wife (the old one expired its life cycle…), just returning to Berne, in my head still the idea for the new blog. I went through a passage with a book shop at the corner, with books outside on a table. For a second my eyes fell on a book about wayside flowers. Hey, that’s it, I thought, that’s just the name for the blog…

Getting started this blog

Friday, March 31st, 2006

Yesterday I was on a seminar on Corporate weblogs at Namics in Zurich. First I was quite reserved about all this hype around weblogs (web-diaries), but on the train-ride back to Berne, while reading the hand-out, I thought it might be worth giving it a try.

I thought it might be interesting to post little comments about events from daily life, linked with the spiritual work, which is at the basis of the good-will website. There are experiences since many years, and I am often having a joking conversation about these with my wife.

In the evening the fire burned on, and my 13 years old son Nikolas (:- ) thanks, Niku) gave me a helping hand in setting up this blog.

I just receive a note from a friend in Miami reminding:
“Master CVV received the energies of Synthesis on the 31st of March, 1910 at midnight hours, when the Moon was at 4° in Sagittarius.” (I thought of it this morning during meditation. More info)
So this is an auspicious occasion to launch the blog.

Agni Yoga, Leaves of Morya’ Garden I says:

Yes, yes, yes, each word of unity is as the seed of some fair flower.

To cultivate a garden of beauty is permitted to all.

But where are the gardeners who can judge which seed is best?

We shall teach them to gather the fertile stalks.

We shall pluck out the blighting weeds.

And the ground where God has manifested Himself

We shall adorn with flowers.
