Leo – Group Consciousness. Common Purpose

July 17th, 2020

Leo stands for the birth of the soul into group consciousness. As soon as the soul in us awakens, we begin to live in the higher consciousness or group consciousness. There is no more need for us to limits and separations like, this is ‘my group, your group, his group’. It is only one group of all beings of the universe. It is one entity called by many names in many groups. The purpose of Hierarchy is to release the humanity from its concretized bondages and perceived limitations so that they can cooperate with the greater purpose, the Plan for the evolution of our planet.

The picture visualizes the joint orientation of the group towards the higher purpose. For the depiction of the large group below, a photo of a group life at Mount Shasta, USA, was duplicated and mirrored. Above, there are pictures from online group meetings fused together as an expression of the physical and etheric interconnectedness. A staircase leads the view to the globe in the background and there to Shamballa. The detail of the globe is created with the help of a picture from WorldWind.earth using NASA images.

Shamballa is the etheric residence of Sanat Kumara in the Gobi Desert, where the purpose of God for our planet is known. He is the regent of the planet, indicated by the crown at the top of the globe. On the left you see the constellation Leo and on the right the glyph of the sign. The central axis was formed with the help of a photo of a galaxy. It reminds us that our system is part of a larger system and is aligned with it.

Raising Awareness for Wisdom Issues in the Younger Generation

July 5th, 2020

Were it strange coincidences that I came across the topic of raising awareness for wisdom issues in the younger generation in apparently unrelated situations during the last week?

The topic is already longer in my mind since long but mostly in a dormant state. In a talk with Sri Kumar four weeks ago he gave some proposals concerning youth involvement which I carry in me in a germinal state since then.

Ten days ago, a group of younger people contacted me. They are developing a communication project to reach people who are not in new age groups and they wanted to share their plans with me, and so we had a Zoom meeting last Wednesday. I felt thrilled by their enthusiasm and I decided to accompany them in their project.

Last Friday, I was informed that the website of the youth forum Mithila will be closed on Saturday – inspired by a proposal of Sri Kumar it started 16 years ago and was first intended for a Jupiter cycle of 12 years. And so, it yesterday came to a close.

“Mithila” is the name of the ancientmost school of Wisdom and of wisdom education for the young generation. There are various groups giving Mithila classes and even Mithila schools in India for children from slum areas.

And there is a group in Venezuela especially dedicated to Mithila education who had a comprehensive website on wisdom teachings which, in a series of great challenges, had to be closed some years ago, and I supported an initiative to bring it back to life. Some days ago, I received a call for help due to another new difficult situation, and so I tried to initiate a group of members to support. The project is very dear to me, and there is much goodwill of the members behind.

I thought, one impulse dissolving, another coming up, others continuing and transforming.

About 15-18 years ago, we had a small Mithila group in our town. I was teaching the two boys of a friend and also our two boys basics of living ethics. My wife gave yoga classes to youngsters and we tried to lay a foundation for right living in a time with lot of counter-currents.

Over the years, I had tried to accompany a few young friends through the times of growing up and early adulthood. I felt they are carrying seeds for the future – but it needs much time and crises for growth. Flowers need time to develop.

Also my youngsters have become adults going their ways into life. The contents of what we tried to teach them has transformed into character and attitudes but not the contents – it is part of the transformation of life.

Eleven Cancer Paintings

June 23rd, 2020

Cancer is the fourth sun sign of the zodiac. The Sun in Cancer is said to be at home. The solar angel finds rest in the heart, its home. The home relates to things of right relationship, love and belonging. In the heart, we can reflect upon our purpose of life and we can attune to the Divine purpose.

The symbolism of Cancer is visualised in the eleven Cancer paintings done between 2010 and 2020. For detailed detailed descriptions please see the ludgerphilips.org website.

Solstice Celebration Experience

June 22nd, 2020

A group of seven members yesterday met in and around the Paracelsus Centre of WTT near Einsiedeln, Switzerland to celebrate summer solstice. We were coming from different parts of Switzerland and from Austria.

The preparations were special, different from previous celebrations. Until few days ago, the borders between the central European countries were still locked due to Pandemia measures. In the last days and weeks, the regulations were slowly reverted again with certain caution prescriptions recommended. Besides, members of WTT-Global, Switzerland, were committed to organising international Solstice meditations & celebrations via Zoom, and some, who first thought of participating, decided to stay with the virtual meetings. Around the physical location of Paracelsus Centre, there is an area with no or very little internet connection. We wanted to meet again physically. The weather was quite rainy the days before, and also the day of Solstice started with rain in Austria. In the Swiss area, and also around Einsiedeln however, good weather was announced. And it was more than beautiful.

Around 9 am, we met at the top of the Etzel pass near the Paracelsus Centre, starting our walk to a fire place at the mountain ridge – on the one side you see the Lake of Zurich, on the other the area of Einsiedeln, an old place of pilgrimage, and the surrounding mountain areas. I conducted a fire ritual there. Flowers and fruits as “prasad” were lying in the grass. A sublime ambiance spread around. During the ritual, there were no hikers or bikers coming along the nearby trail, and while the group sang the Maitreya song, a group of hikers waited at a nearby panorama place. After the closed of the ritual, hikers and bikers started coming again.

Sabine had brought a small cooker with freshly cooked rice deliciously spiced “Indian style”. After the picnic breakfast we read for a while a text from the Summer Solstice seminar of Sri Kumar in Germany, 2008 – profound thoughts on the energy and importance of Summer Solstice. We closed there with the Global Prayer for Peace and then walked back. In the meanwhile, the place where our cars had been parked was crowded – many people wanted to enjoy the beauty of nature there. And we wanted to descend to the Paracelsus Centre….

At the centre, we improvised a small altar and started with the noon meditation, intonating 21 times OM. Towards the end, the thought came, that it was just 21 years ago that the Paracelsus Centre started. And so we began to exchange about what we remembered and what we had experienced – how in 1993, Master Kumar read in a Swissair inflight magazine about the celebration of the 500th anniversary of Paracelsus being in Einsiedeln, how, together with Jesús and Tiziana, he walked from Einsiedeln to the birthplace of Paracelsus near the old bridge at the Sihl river and had a vision of an eagle there, a symbol of the Master. How, in 1999, during the May Call celebration on Mount Rigi, the German group proposed to Master Kumar an excursion to the birthplace, where Sabine had participated. How there, the idea of a centre there emerged. How a few days later, it came to be known that a small apartment had just become free in the house at the birthplace and how it was rent. How later that year, there was a group life in Einsiedeln with Master Kumar about Paracelsus, where the centre was inaugurated. How then later, for some years, the centre was established and after a few years again dissolved in Einsiedeln but the Paracelsus centre remained. How the members of WTT-Global supported the project and met on certain occasions there. How inner and outer transformations took place with all members involved. A very profound exchange.

While the three members from Lucerne area had to leave again, we four members stayed. Improvised lunch, a little walk over the meadow to the luxuriant vegetation at the Sihl river, evening meditation and further exchanges. It was already late when we set out for the return journey.

There was an incredible golden light colouring the Sihl lake and the mountains in the background. We stopped at a small parking to take some pictures. Two camper-vans were standing there and three young men just had finished their dinner. A conversation started: They had come from different areas of Switzerland to enjoy nature there, looking for a place to pass the night. We told them about the Sihl river and the mountain ridge. They told us about their experiencing of nature – one of them has started guiding people into nature for “Waldbaden” (forest bathing), Shinrin-Yoku, experiencing the subtle qualities of nature in forests. It seems to be a hype at the moment – I saw many activities in Switzerland on the web. Very nice to spread an awareness of such experiences.

When driving back through the golden dusk and the night, I thought of nature’s movement entering now into the period of six months, until winter solstice, of night, inner and outer darkness. In this time, it is easy to lose oneself in the outer matter, and it is more important to keep the contact with the higher Self.

Cancer – Descent into Matter

June 18th, 2020

From summer solstice in Cancer on, the southward movement of the Sun begins. For six months the day decreases and the night increases. Matter grows stronger, the light, the spirit, becomes more hidden. Therefore, this is considered the time of darkness. During this time, we should give particular care not to lose ourselves in the outer world, but to keep the connection with the inner light. When we forget this, we deviate easily from our path.

In the picture you can see two red circles. In the upper circle there is a sunset; the sun is moving down into the sphere of the earth. In the lower circle and even below there is a railroad track, which symbolizes the path into matter. Like hypnotically attracting the gaze, it leads away from the central axis. At the beginning of the path, two people look into the tunnel; their gaze could also be directed upwards towards the light. One of them has a mobile in his hand – the symbol of the present time.

In the upper right corner, you can see the symbol of Cancer and on the left are the stars of the constellation. Below them a water surface is indicated – Cancer is a water sign. The bluish bow indicates the ring of the horizon.

For the upper part of the picture two photos were used, which were taken during an evening take-off from Iguazu Airport, Brazil. The scene in the lower part of the picture is designed with two photos of an automatic train that runs through a tunnel at Zurich Airport to the terminal.

May 26th, 2020

Gemini is the sign of the messenger, under whom many messengers of the gods have appeared at all times, revealing new truths and acting as mediators. Gemini is the expression sign of expression ruled by Mercury. Gemini is also the duality and contains the key to unity.

You find its symbolism visualised in the eleven Gemini paintings done between 2010 and 2020. For detailed detailed descriptions please see the ludgerphilips.org website.

The Virus Discussion and Discrimination

May 25th, 2020

Together with the contagious spreading of the corona virus there was also a highly contagious spreading of opinions about it. The virus impact was something new and we wanted to know more, to understand more of the danger. To have someone who can explain and give orientation. – High time for sharing videos and articles.

I received a flood of e-mails and also Skype or phone calls from friends – recommendations that I should read / see this or that, should share links with friends or via the mailing lists:
“This is really important to know, excellent explanations. People must know this – and the mainstream media don’t inform about it!”

But I thought, no, I am not a multiplier for things which I do not really understand and the truth of which I can’t examine. I scanned through some of these articles but I would have spent days and nights to digest all the information flooding in.

With the outer lockdown I increasingly closed down to this flood. But I attentively read articles in the “paper” newspapers we subscribed to. I appreciate the work of preparing information by good journalists, who also include seemingly contradictory information. Of course, the views are certainly selective, but all redacting of information is selective.

The whole mental ambience around the virus discussion is mostly gloomy, impregnated by fear not only of the virus but of all the psychic, social, economic, and global implications – a lot of misery and suffering. Other topics are overrun at the moment. Besides the paralysing aura of the discussion, there are reactions of revolt, feeling suppression and manipulation by “the system” and manipulators in the background. Many diffuse things are intermingling.

How to discriminate and find a right, healthy attitude? My wife hinted at the four basic questions of Byron Katie’s “The Work”. They help to identify and question any stressful thought and to transform it. They are also quite helpful in dealing with social media and other news. The four questions are:

  1. Is it true?
  2. Can you absolutely know that it’s true?
  3. How do you react, what happens, when you believe that thought?
  4. Who would you be without the thought?

By becoming aware of our beliefs we don’t meditate them away and don’t reprogram them. On the contrary, we welcome our thoughts and examine them. Then they will let us go and we can better realise our true nature as loving, happy and free.

Another helpful method are the three sieves of Socrates mentioned in a short article, “What you should be aware of before posting on social media”, by Krogerus and Tschäppeler in the Swiss “Das Magazin” N° 21, 23 May 2020. Here a translated and summarised extract:

Once Socrates walked through the streets of Athens. A student came up to him and said: “Socrates, I have to tell you something about your friend.”
Socrates replied that he only wanted to hear what had previously gone through three sieves:

  • Whatever the man has to say should be true, this is the first sieve;
  • it should be necessary, according to the second sieve;
  • and it should be told in good faith, as per the third sieve.

The story ends with the man leaving without being allowed to deliver his message to Socrates.

The three sieves are a simple method to check our own and other people’s information for its meaning by asking oneself:

  • Is what I want to say right?
  • Is what I want to say relevant? And, using the third sieve:
  • Am I saying what I want to say with good intentions?

You can easily adapt these sieves for different situations.

Don’t follow the herd mentality

Gemini – Gateway between Unity and Separation

May 17th, 2020

The symbol of Gemini is like a gate. It marks the threshold between unity and multiplicity and then the separation from unity. In the opposite direction, Gemini leads back to unity.

In this picture, the view leads the observer through an archway over a bridge-like path, designed with a photo of the top end of a moving stairway in the Elbphilharmonie Concert Hall in Hamburg, Germany. The people move as if without any action on their part.

For the background I used the photo of a newspaper page (“Der Bund”, 31 January 2020) with an article about the UK’s withdrawal from the EU on the eve of the Brexit. I turned the colours into the negative and fused this photo with the mirrored form of the picture. The headline “Wie der Brexit” (Like the Brexit) and its reflection appear like signs of a bifurcation. In the background on the right there is the mirrored slogan “Get Brexit done”; on the left, only faintly visible, there are two dogs tied together with the flags of Great Britain and the EU, all in turquoise as predominant colour, the colour associated with Gemini and the throat centre.

At the top of the picture you can see a flame surrounded by reddish colours and inside, in a delicate glow, Maitreya, the head of the Spiritual Hierarchy. The Masters of Wisdom intensively work for the unity of humanity and especially for the European unity. People, however, often choose the ideology of the island consciousness of separation.

Patience Beyond Death: Hilma Af Klint

April 27th, 2020

Four years ago, I read an article about Hilma Af Klint (1862-1944) in a Swiss magazine by the Swiss director of Serpentine Galleries, London. It was written on the occasion of an exposition (see here a video about it: “Hilma af Klint: Painting the Unseen – Serpentine Galleries“).

At that time, I felt touched by her images inspired by occult experiences, and so I did some research on Hilma on the web. I was moved by her experience of the non-recognition and the non-reception by her contemporaries of her grand contribution to beauty and to unveiling doors into the subtle world. Together with some friends, she experienced inner guidance and followed it. She was inspired by H.P. Blavatsky and Rudolph Steiner. She met him, but he too, did not recognize the sublime depth and greatness of her work; he could not interpret her paintings (here a video of a theosophical researcher).

Others also did not see her qualities and contributions to modern art and to life. Hilma created a grand work of about 1300 paintings, partly of very great size, and many drawings – it was never shown during her lifetime. She felt that the time was not yet ripe, and thus, in her will she decided that her work shall not be shown until at least twenty years after her death. Patience beyond the physical.

Some weeks ago, a friend from Munich told me about Hilma and asked me if I knew her – and so memories came back. My friend had just seen a German TV report about a new book and three times seen a movie on Hilma in a cinema in Munich.

Hilma Af Klint – Beyond the Visible – poster of a film in a Munich cinema

It took 40 more years before the international recognition of her work started with a travelling exposition starting in Los Angeles in 1985. Many more expositions in famous museums followed. In 2019 there was even an exposition in the Guggenheim Museum, New York.

You now find a lot about her life and work on the web. You can see many of her pictures, in Wikimedia or Wikiart on Pinterest and elsewhere. You can discover about her on the website of the Swedish Hilma af Klint Foundation. Now, she has been discovered and her relevance for modern art researched and the difficult role of women in art reflected.

Still today, time might not yet be ripe to discover the relevance of present day contributions of esoteric and occult dimensions to beauty, beyond the fanfares of the art business.
