Scorpio – The Central Vertical Vibration

October 17th, 2022

The wisdom teachings speak of a single pillar around which all is moving. This pillar exists externally as the axis of rotation of the visible space globe around the celestial pole. It exists as the axis of North Pole and South Pole, around which the earth rotates. It has its correspondence in us as our central vertical column, around which all our activity happens.

Inside the central column, we can experience the unchangeable part of our existence around which the mutable life plays. The central vertical vibration enables us to experience the pure consciousness and the different states of existence. Within the column, there is the Light of awareness, which awakens us in the morning. And it is the same Light, which enables the Sun to shine. Reaching that Light is the aim of yoga.

I used extracts of two NASA photos of the Sun for creating the seven globes connected by a central channel of light. They show the central axis and the vibration of the energy. They also indicate the seven centres within the human body and the seven planes of existence. Contemplating on the column of light may reveal further subtle dimensions.

On seeing the image, a friend asked how its topic is linked with Scorpio. When working to bring down the image, I tried different ways to illustrate the descent of spirit into matter but without success. I then realised that the path of descent and ascent is the same, and I fused them in the central vertical column. At the bottom you see a dark semicircle around the two suns at the base indicating the sphere of dense matter.

At the very bottom, there is a little deviation of the central column. It corresponds to the coccyx or to Mula, the constellation between Scorpio and Sagittarius, the bottom point of descent and ascent. Without the question of my friend, this would not have been revealed.

Thirteen Libra Paintings

September 28th, 2022

In our body, the Sahasrara or head centre corresponds to the North Pole, while the Muladhara or base centre is the South Pole. The diaphragm, between the solar plexus and the heart centre, is the equator, which corresponds to the equator of the planet and to the zodiacal sign of Libra. The equator is equidistant from the North Pole and the South Pole and the point of balance between the two poles. Libra represents the equilibrium between the outgoing horizontal movement towards objectivity and the inward vertical movement towards subjectivity. When the fulcrum is stable, there is an ascent of consciousness to higher planes.

The Images of Synthesis for the month of Libra illustrate the related symbolism. You find there detailed explanations of the paintings in four languages (en/de/es/fr). And you can download print-versions (high resolution) for free. Or subscribe to the Lunar Messenger newsletter.

Celebrating Libra Equinox at the Paracelsus Center

September 27th, 2022

Last Friday, there was autumn equinox. We also call it Libra equinox, because the September equinox is the moment when, seen from Earth, the Sun on his southward movement crosses the equator marking the entrance of the Sun into Libra. In the Southern hemisphere, it marks the beginning of spring. It is one of the 4 cardinal points of the year. Such points have been celebrated from ancient-most times. The Masters of Wisdom are renewing and encouraging such orientation to the cycles of time with meditations, rituals and using the changes of energy for spiritual upliftment.

Thus like in previous years, we met again with a small group at the Paracelsus Center near Einsiedeln, Switzerland. The weather was fine, and so we met on the mountain ridge near the Etzel pass for a little fire ritual and meditation.

It was windy, and so we chose a place surrounded by bushes and trees. It was a little difficult to start the fire ritual but the Devas cooperated…

We afterwards went to the Paracelsus Center and aligned to the equinox energies with mantrams, meditation and study.

In the afternoon, we went uphill to the Etzel mountain house from where you have a grand panorama.

A friend of a friend joined us for the evening meditation. We strongly felt the sanctity of this moment and place and were filled with silent joy and gratitude.

Self-Excuses and Twists in Perception

September 27th, 2022

My mother once told me that when I was a child she asked me to pick up something on the floor which I had thrown there. I didn’t want and replied: “I cannot, my arms are too short.”

This became an iconic example for self-excuses. It comes to my mind in cases of my own self-excuses and when coming across others’ expressing their inability to do something. Often it is a self-fooling and trying to hide one’s unwillingness. In such cases, my wife and I use to say, “Yes, the arms are too short.”

Such twisting is not as negligible as it might appear at first sight. It causes inner twists leading to distortions in our perception and to character flaws. And these again, are boulders on the spiritual path.

I recently came across a person having problems with a neighbour for years. The problem was, of course, seen as being with the neighbour, and there was no chance of changing the situation. So she said: “They say it’s all part of the Divine Plan. My view is that the Plan must have flaws.”

We usually project the sources of problems to the outside, to other people or outer situations, neglecting to start with ourselves. So I replied, “Sorry to say so, but it is your view of the Plan where the flaws are.”

Libra – At the Deep

September 19th, 2022

Libra represents the process of subjectivity coming out into objectivity. Libra is the consciousness that separates the inner from the outer, creating the illusion of the material. When we are disconnected from the light, we feel lost; this is the symbolic fall of the soul into matter.

Libra is the fulcrum principle causing the rotation of the wheel of creation. It is the force radiating from centre to circumference, bringing diversity from out of unity. It is also the blending force bringing diversity back to the unity at the centre.

I created the image by merging seven photos taken from a hotel in Niterói, Rio de Janeiro, around sunset time and at night. The sphere around the setting sun indicates the centre and circumference of the wheel. The sphere together with the line of the horizon, accentuated by the Rio-Niteroi bridge, and the lower horizontal line, formed by high-rises, also hint at the symbol of Libra. I had placed the symbol of Libra at the centre; it is now fused with the colours.

In the lower part of the painting, I designed an urban gorge in a vertical direction by mirroring the flow of traffic lights and high-rises. The traffic is seemingly crossing a river created by reflections of streetlights and high-rises in the water of the bay. The light of the traffic flowing through the gorge reminds one of a cataclysmic chasm in the earth.

You might also see the human frame, which I first had in mind when starting to work on the painting, with the Sun as Libra lifted up to Aries in the head, the outstretched arms, the spine of traffic lights and the navel centre, Libra, at the lower crossroad.

A Video Interview with Master CVV’s Great-Grandson about the Advent of the Aquarian Age

September 13th, 2022

Five friends of mine, WTT members and from the core team of the Anima channel, travelled to India to do some videos. At first, they went to Kumbakonam in South India for Master CVV’s birthday on 4th August. Joan from the travel group wrote:

“When we arrived to the “Yoga Friends School” we found a bold and moustachioed man, dressed with a dothi, who happened to be Jaikumar, Master CVV’s great-grandson. Here we share an interview with him.”

And you might read more about Master CVV in the biography “The Aquarian Master“.

The Mantra against Fear

August 31st, 2022

I yesterday searched a picture of Ganesha on my computer – it was the day of Ganesha’s birthday. A PDF of a German book popped up with the title “The Mantra against Fear” (Das Mantra gegen die Angst, by Helge Timmerberg, a German journalist and writer).

At first, I didn’t remember how it came on my computer but later I saw on Wikipedia that a close friend of mine had written about him in an Author’s encyclopedia – and he had given me this book… The sub-title is “Ready for Everything. Nine Days in Kathmandu” – 2020, just at the beginning of the pandemia lockdown, and in a country still suffering very much from the aftermath of a big earthquake.

I hadn’t read it but now quickly zoomed through the book. And it caught my attention: Helge went to Nepal in search of a Guru whom he had met 15 years ago. He describes in the first chapter how this Guru was “tested” if he was free from fear:

They were flying together in a plane which on a short flight nearly crashed three times. The first time some passengers still laughed, the second time nobody laughed, and the third time all were crying, except this yogi which sat on his side. He was as deeply relaxed as Helge had come to know him during the last 2 weeks. This time, the plane didn’t crash but a year later, he saw photos of the crashed plane, of “Shangri-La Air” in the newspapers, and it was scary for him to see.

The mantra of the Yogi was: “I am ready for everything” – the Mantra against fear.

Helge was now in a crisis and wanted to re-find this Guru. The book is about his experiences in Nepal on the journey to himself.

Thirteen Virgo Paintings

August 29th, 2022

The earth sign Virgo stands for striving to serve. This means that we take on tasks and responsibilities for the benefit of a group, a larger group, and the entire globe, rather than working for ourselves. That we are willing to spend more time, more energy, and more resources for the benefit of others. And that we follow a good rhythm of inner alignment and are willing to transform ourselves. Only through service we can get the touch of the Hierarchy.

The life and teachings of the Masters are extraordinarily beautiful and all-embracing. They are an example for us to follow. It is a path by which we can become Sons of the Virgin, Sons of God.

The Images of Synthesis for the month of Virgo illustrate the related symbolism. You find there detailed explanations of the paintings in four languages (en/de/es/fr). And you can download print-versions (high resolution) for free. Or subscribe to the Lunar Messenger newsletter.

Virgo – Meditation on the World Mother

August 19th, 2022

The work of Virgo is that of protection, nurturing and inner maturing so that the soul can shine forth. Virgo represents the World Mother, the universal divine consciousness that expresses itself through the seven colours, seven sounds and seven planes of creation. This Mother of the World is the subtle light behind the material forms. By meditating on the Mother, her light and splendour can radiate through us, and we begin to merge with Her.

The image shows a representation of Goddess Lakshmi pouring out abundance with her right hand and blessing with her left. Instead of lotuses, the Eastern symbol of unfoldment, Lakshmi now holds roses in her other two hands. Her seat was also designed with a rose instead of a lotus.

I placed the divine Mother in a cornfield. The grain is an expression of the principle of abundance and multiplication: Through growth and ripening, numerous grains emerge from one grain and give us nourishment. I created the light of the background with several photos of sunrises. It shines through the figure of the Mother and merges with her.

18/19 August: 8th Descending Moon Phase, Birthday of Lord Krishna

August 17th, 2022

According to the Eastern scriptures, Lord Krishna was born at midnight of the eighth descending moon phase of the lunar month Sravana (not to be confused with the Nakshatra Sravana). Therefore, the birthday of this sublime being is celebrated during this moon phase.
And this year, the corresponding 8th descending moon phase is between 18th and 19th of August. Krishna is also seen as the 8th avatar though he is more than an avatar.

As per the solar calendar, the date changes each year: Krishna’s birth happened at midnight between 19th and 20th of July, 3228 B.C.
For the eternal consciousness, this is an illusionary fix point in eternity. Krishna himself says, “I, the ‘I AM’ in all, have no births. … Still I localise into My Nature and I AM being born as you all.” (Mandra Scripture, 4-6)

There were many speculations on the birth of Lord Krishna. A voice was heard in the sky some time before his birth that the Lord would descend but no one knew where and when he would be born.

The Sage Narada informed Parasara, the then-world teacher, that the divine would descend onto earth. For 7 days, Parasara performed a ritual for 7 days together with his disciples and other Masters to form a subtle body for the Lord with pure, super-mundane elements. On the last day of the ritual, Parasara had to sacrifice himself.

The Lord descended into this extremely pure body and later he embedded himself onto the body of the child growing the womb of Devaki, his mother. The Lord appeared to his parents before the birth and advised them to shift the child.

Later after the child is born, and on the advice of the Lord, who appeared before to the couple before the birth of the child, the child is shifted to the village, where Nanda and his wife Yashoda lived. There, Krishna grew up for 12 years.

The incidents around Lord Krishna’s extraordinary birth were given by Master EK in the book “The World Teacher. Advent of Lord Krishna“. A major part of the book was translated by Master KPK, published 10 years ago.

The happenings themselves are described in chap. 22, but the entire book deals with the situation at the time of the birth of Lord Krishna.
