Picture of the Month – The Angel

September 12th, 2006

Angel

Cancer is the doorway for the birth of the soul into the worlds of forms. Suble intelligences, called Devas in the East and angels in the West, accompany it. Out of habit we ascribe attributes and shapes to them which correspond with our imaginations. We only get a right understandig, when we enter again into the subtle worlds. The picture of the statue of an angel from the cathedral of Girona, Spain, shows a golden angel figure looking into the sun light.

Picture of the Month – The Golden Disc

September 12th, 2006

Golden Disc

The sign of Leo is connected to the sun, its ruler, and the color gold. In the wisdom teachings, the sun is described as a golden disc which covers the true, spiritual sun and lets us only see its glowing. The photograph of the golden, sunny disc, which emanates the light of the sun, is from the castle of Sanssouci in Potsdam, Berlin. It shows the open sky, the circle of stars, and the temple of creation – as if made of a fine network of power lines.

Picture of the Month – Crystal Ball

September 12th, 2006

Every month I chose a Picture of the Month to publish it with the Lunar Messenger newsletter. These pictures disappear from the site after the month is over. Maybe you would like to have a look at some nice ones of the last months. So I publish them here with the comment.

Crystal Ball

“In the alchemy of spirituality we undergo a deep transformational process and purify the matter of our bodies. Thus our personality becomes as pure and clear as crystal and the light of the soul can shine through. The globe is a symbol of perfection, and the picture of the crystal ball from the seminar house of H.P.B. in Ingolsheim, Alsace (France), reminds us of the lightful state of spirit-infused matter.

Web Accessibility – Overcoming Obstacles

September 7th, 2006

Yesterday I was at an interesting presentation on accessibility of websites, by Namics, internet specialists from Zurich. For many a handicapped person present websites offer difficulties, in navigation, in transporting the content to screenreader-softwares or in the contrast used for the sites. There exist definitions of the web-consortium about accessibility, which are in a process of updating, because many new technologies have appeared in the last years. Somebody of this consortium hold a talk at the meeting, explaining what they are talking about, when they try to define how a website should be for disabled persons to have free access to it.
Very interesting was a presentation of a deaf person from Gebärdenwerk in Hamburg, giving a 30 min talk about the special problems of deaf persons. At my table there were two translators transposing the talks into sign language (which in Germany is recognised as a separate language besides German) for a few disabled persons in the audience.
There exist a number of aids for disabled persons, but when the site is not well done, it is hard to get the right access. The Swiss Government websites have t be barrier-free until the end of this year, and for my office we are also thinking of making our site accessible. I wonder I find the time and know-how to renovate the good-will website according to the accessibility standards…
Most impressive for me was a talk I had at the end of the meeting with a blind man, who had been a high school teacher and later lost his eyesight and now is teaching again, and he is publishing a tape newspaper together with pupils and volunteers. He had such a commitment to sensitise organisations and people to the needs of visually handicapped or blind people and to render help to persons concerned.

Chosing the New 7 World Wonders

September 2nd, 2006

2200 years ago the Greek Philon of Byzantium made a catalogue of the most important monuments of his time, based on sites located around the Mediterranean sea, like the Lighthouse of Alexandria, the Colossus of Rhodes, the Temple of Artemis, the Statue of Zeus or the Pyramids at Giza. The only buidling still existing is the Pyramid.
Since 2001 there is a campaign going on for chosing the New 7 Wonders of the World – not not chosen by a single man, but by millions of people all over the world. You can give your vote on the website of New7Wonders, selecting between 21 remaining candidates – ranging from the Acropolis to Timbuktu. The campaign will end in about 10 months, and on 07.07.07 there will be the official declaration of the new 7 wonders.
A good idea to focus on the cultural heritage and to create an awareness for the great efforts of mankind from all over the globe for creating beauty – and at the same time a project with a global participation.

Greener Electronics

August 29th, 2006

We are using a lot computer or other electronic equipments, but don’t think much about what is in it – or what is being done with the toxic waste products at the end.
Greenpeace is now publishing a ranking about the global policies and practices of leading mobile and PC manufacturers, what they do about eliminating harmful chemicals and or taking responsibility for their products once they are discarded by consumers.
So the Greenpeace Guide to Greener Electronics might help deciding what products to buy and what better not – think that often the old machines land in some 3rd world deposits…

Most Unusual Therapist

August 28th, 2006

Today I got an e-mail from a friend with the following text of a newsletter, which I put below, because it is quite interesting. Thought the authors website might sound a bit ballyhooing, it shows up principles in accordance with the wisdom teachings. There was also a reference to a website on huna and ho’oponopono mentioned in the text, a very ancient wisdom conserved on Hawaii. Enjoy the text:

“Truth is often stranger than fiction. Anyone who is aware of recent research conclusions in frontier science (such as in entanglement physics, quantum mechanics, astronomy, astro-biology, etc) would readily agree. Actually, recent frontier science can be used to, at least, partially explain the „strange“ technique of the „World’s Most Unusual Therapist.”

PS If the article seems to you to be complete fantasy without even a 5% probability of possibility, try these phrases (copy and paste each line, separately for each search, as is written below) into your Internet browser’s search engine (such as WebCrawler, Clusty, or even Google) on the World Wide Web; very interesting “stuff!“ Then reread the article.

  • “entanglement physics“
  • „action at a distance“ „physics“
  • “Time reversal symmetry“
  • „neuro synchrony“
  • “water molecules” “Emoto“
  • „Evoked potential“
  • “Biology of Belief“
  • “role of the observer in scientific experimentation” “physics“

All truth goes through three stages.
First it is ridiculed.
Then it is violently opposed.
Finally, it is accepted as self-evident.

The World’s Most Unusual Therapist

by Dr. Joe Vitale

Two years ago, I heard about a therapist in Hawaii who cured a complete ward of criminally insane patients–without ever seeing any of them. The psychologist would study an inmate’s chart and then look within himself to see how he created that person’s illness. As he improved himself, the patient improved.

When I first heard this story, I thought it was an urban legend. How could anyone heal anyone else by healing himself? How could even the best self-improvement master cure the criminally insane?

It didn’t make any sense. It wasn’t logical, so I dismissed the story.

However, I heard it again a year later. I heard that the therapist had used a Hawaiian healing process called ho ‘oponopono. I had never heard of it, yet I couldn’t let it leave my mind. If the story was at all true, I had to know more.

I had always understood “total responsibility” to mean that I am responsible for what I think and do. Beyond that, it’s out of my hands. I think that most people think of total responsibility that way. We’re responsible for what we do, not what anyone else does. The Hawaiian therapist who healed those mentally ill people would teach me an advanced new perspective about total responsibility.

His name is Dr. Ihaleakala Hew Len. We probably spent an hour talking on our first phone call. I asked him to tell me the complete story of his work as a therapist. He explained that he worked at Hawaii State Hospital for four years. That ward where they kept the criminally insane was dangerous. Psychologists quit on a monthly basis. The staff called in sick a lot or simply quit. People would walk through that ward with their backs against the wall, afraid of being attacked by patients. It was not a pleasant place to live, work, or visit.

Dr. Len told me that he never saw patients. He agreed to have an office and to review their files. While he looked at those files, he would work on himself. As he worked on himself, patients began to heal.

“After a few months, patients that had to be shackled were being allowed to walk freely,” he told me. “Others who had to be heavily medicated were getting off their medications. And those who had no chance of ever being released were being freed.”

I was in awe.

“Not only that,” he went on, “but the staff began to enjoy coming to work. Absenteeism and turnover disappeared. We ended up with more staff than we needed because patients were being released, and all the staff was showing up to work. Today, that ward is closed.”

This is where I had to ask the million dollar question: “What were you doing within yourself that caused those people to change?”

“I was simply healing the part of me that created them,” he said.

I didn’t understand.

Dr. Len explained that total responsibility for your life means that everything in your life – simply because it is in your life–is your responsibility. In a literal sense the entire world is your creation.

Whew. This is tough to swallow. Being responsible for what I say or do is one thing. Being responsible for what everyone in my life says or does is quite another. Yet, the truth is this: if you take complete responsibility for your life, then everything you see, hear, taste, touch, or in any way experience is your responsibility because it is in your life.

This means that terrorist activity, the president, the economy–anything you experience and don’t like–is up for you to heal. They don’t exist, in a manner of speaking, except as projections from inside you. The problem isn’t with them, it’s with you, and to change them, you have to change you.

I know this is tough to grasp, let alone accept or actually live. Blame is far easier than total responsibility, but as I spoke with Dr. Len, I began to realize that healing for him and in ho ‘oponopono means loving yourself. If you want to improve your life, you have to heal your life. If you want to cure anyone–even a mentally ill criminal–you do it by healing you.

I asked Dr. Len how he went about healing himself. What was he doing, exactly, when he looked at those patients’ files?

“I just kept saying, ‘I’m sorry’ and ‘I love you’ over and over again,” he explained.

That’s it?

That’s it.

Turns out that loving yourself is the greatest way to improve yourself, and as you improve yourself, your improve your world. Let me give you a quick example of how this works: one day, someone sent me an email that upset me. In the past I would have handled it by working on my emotional hot buttons or by trying to reason with the person who sent the nasty message. This time, I decided to try Dr. Len’s method. I kept silently saying, “I’m sorry” and “I love you,” I didn’t say it to anyone in particular. I was simply evoking the spirit of love to heal within me what was creating the outer circumstance.

Within an hour I got an e-mail from the same person. He apologized for his previous message. Keep in mind that I didn’t take any outward action to get that apology. I didn’t even write him back. Yet, by saying “I love you,” I somehow healed within me what was creating him.

I later attended a ho ‘oponopono workshop run by Dr. Len. He’s now 70 years old, considered a grandfatherly shaman, and is somewhat reclusive. He praised my book, The Attractor Factor. He told me that as I improve myself, my book’s vibration will raise, and everyone will feel it when they read it. In short, as I improve, my readers will improve.

“What about the books that are already sold and out there?” I asked.

“They aren’t out there,” he explained, once again blowing my mind with his mystic wisdom. “They are still in you.”

In short, there is no out there.

It would take a whole book to explain this advanced technique with the depth it deserves. Suffice it to say that whenever you want to improve anything in your life, there’s only one place to look: inside you.

“When you look, do it with love.”

I got today an interesting presentation about the huge dimensions of creation – really awe-inspiring. You can see it here as a pdf-file.

Illusionary Definitions

August 27th, 2006

Two days ago I read a comment in the NZZ-journal: Journalists are eagerly writing with the crisis about Iran – which is refusing control over their nuclear plant programs – that the international community should make a stand against it. However there is no such entity as the international community. There are the members of the UN Security Council, mainly the victors of World War, or the European Community on the one side. And on the other there are a lot of countries who are not against Iran’s programs, and others are indifferent. You see many different positions and opinions. The “international community” is a fiction.
The human brain is creating illusions, where we see classifications, which don’t exist. Not only the “international community” is an abstraction. We keep on blinding ourselves with self-made definitions, about who is an enemy or how can I make best profit out of a situation. Overcoming viewpoints helps us to see the reality.

Door-Openers for Good Will

August 23rd, 2006

Yesterday I was at the Swiss annual ambassadors conference in Berne, looking after a stand during a pause. It was interesting to observe the diplomats – 95 per cent men, in dark suits, grey-haired jovial representatives of Switzerland from all over the world. I had a short talk with an ambassador from central Africa and exchanged some impressions with a gentleman from another stand, of Swiss Timber.
He told me that Switzerland is exporting quite an amount of wood to countries like Pakistan, Afghanistan or Saudi Arabia. He had been around the world in several crisis areas and said that, though sometimes ambivalent, the reconstruction in crisis areas is always a big business where many different players are on site. For the export business they keep in contact with the embassies, as door-openers for business interests.
I thought why not door-openers for good will activities. Good will however might not need exportation, since you can meet it everywhere. The work is also mostly more silent, not attracting attention. But if you are engaged in some good work, you represent also its interests.
