Very nice impressions of the royal wedding in Bhutan on 13.10.2011. Dignitaries and well-wishers gathered at an ancient monastic fortress to see King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuk marry his bride, 21-year-old student Jetsun Pema. For days before the wedding, monks held dawn prayer sessions in remote mountain valleys.

Autumn Architecture Energy “strives to visualize all the interior energy and forms that I sense while experiencing the forest at the peak of Fall. I was not thinking this when making it, but it owes a nod to graphic novel techniques for showing energy as light and lines coming off of objects. I try to utilize the technologies in a way that brings out the character of a scene. It’s obvious, but I like to visualize that essence that I feel in a place. There is a sense of being inside a cathedral or an old castle when walking deep in the Autumn woods….”

These short films loosely follow a dreamlike continuum of travels through a lost book. … Ancient alchemical writings move us along to find the key. The goal was to create an experience that would transport you without being specific, hence the unknown language.”

A great time-lapse video taken from the front of the International Space Station as it orbits our planet at night. This movie begins over the Pacific Ocean and continues over North and South America before entering daylight near Antarctica.

On October 9th 2011, Yoko Ono relit the IMAGINE PEACE TOWER in Iceland in memory of her late husband John Lennon. It will now be lit until Dec 8, then Dec 21-28, Dec 31, 2011 and then March 21-28, 2012. It is meant as a beacon of peace and harmony.

A friend from Buenos Aires just sent me the link to a video he did with many of the paintings I made during the last 2 years (one painting, however, is from someone else).The text he is speaking are the “Mystic Mantrams” by Master CVV – they are very profound, I like them very much.

Some more paintings have come during the last weeks, they will be published over the next months together with the Lunar Messenger.

Yesterday my wife and I were at a photographer, for she needed some professionally done pictures, also for her future website. The studio was in an ancient classroom of a former school in the centre of Berne, where now a number of artists and the like have small places. In the high studio room there was still the blackboard on one wall, but on another there was a huge linen sheet as background. Some chairs and a sofa were standing in one corner.

The photographer, a young lady, listened to what my wife told her about the purpose of the photos, asked questions, then they started shooting test pictures, before the real shooting started. After each series we had a look at the selection on her laptop to select a few. The photographer spread a good, leisurely atmosphere and very well arranged little details. Sometimes I had to stand behind her to make some jokes to provoke some subtle reactions with my wife. Then she took some pics of my wife and me.

Though I hadn’t planned to get some pics of me, I liked the way she did the pictures. So I asked her also to take take some shots of me: Different perspectives and facial expressions… And again selecting the best ones.

It is always strange for me – like for most others – to see myself from the outside. Though I know the body quite well – living in it already for a while – there is always a feeling it’s an envelope and not myself. And it’s getting older, while I’m not 🙂

She now wants to do some image editing before we will get the photos the next days….

A friend sent me a powerpoint with the following story about friendship and sharing:

“A young lady was waiting for her flight in the boarding room of a big airport. As she would need to wait many hours, she decided to buy a book to spend her time. She also bought a packet of cookies. She sat down in an armchair, in the VIP-room of  the airport, to rest and read in peace.

Beside the armchair where the packet of cookies lay, a man sat down in the next seat, opened his magazine and started reading. When she took out the first cookie, the man took one also. She felt irritated but said nothing. She just thought: “What a nerve! If I was in the mood I would punch him for daring!”

For each cookie she took the man took one too. This was infuriating her but she didn’t want to cause a scene. When only one cookie remained, she thought, “ah, what this abusive man do now?”

Then, the man, taking the last cookie, divided it into half, giving her one half.

Ah, that was too much! She was much too angry now!

In a huff, she took her book, her things and stormed to the boarding place.

When she sat down in her seat, inside the plane, she looked into her purse to take her eyeglasses, and, to her surprise, her packet of cookies was there, untouched, unopened!

She felt so ashamed! She realised that she was wrong… She had forgotten that her cookies were kept in her purse. The man had divided his cookies with her, without feeling angered or bitter, while she was very angry, thinking that she was dividing her cookies with him. And now there was no chance to explain herself… nor to apologize.”

The moral of the story…
There are four things that you cannot recover:
The stone ….     after the throw,
The word …. after it’s said,
The occasion … after the loss,
The time …. after it’s gone.

Hello, nice person, did anyone ever tell you just how special you are? The light that you emit might even light a star.
Did anyone ever tell you how important you make others feel? Somebody out there is smiling, about love that is so real.
Did anyone ever tell you that many times when they were sad your e-mail made them smile a bit, in fact it made them glad.
For the time you spend sending things and sharing whatever you find, there are no words to thank you, but somebody thinks you are fine.
Did anyone ever tell you just how much they like you? Well, my dearest friend, today I’m telling you.
I believe that without a friend you are missing out on a lot.
