Winter is back with full strength in Europe. Yesterday evening in the online class friends from Belgium, Netherlands, Germany and Denmark told me about heavy snow and frost of minus 15° over the country. This morning it was also quite cold here but “only” about minus 10° C.
Since nearly 21 years, I am regularly doing a short fire ritual on Sunday morning, whatever the weather – except with storm/intense rain. So also this morning. It was a beautiful energy – and silence still all around, where normally during the week rush hour traffic pushes its noisy way to the highway. While I was singing mantric chants in a low voice, the rising flames were spreading their magic light.
After the fire ritual I did my “morning walk ritual” through through our neighbourhood and over the nearby field. It was just the time of daybreak.
Reflections of street lights on a wire ball in a garden
The dwarfs were already awake …
… and a little angel quietly brought light into the day despite his broken arm.
The refugees in the asylum center, however, still seemed to be asleep….
The lights along the school path were burning, but no children’s noises – it’s also sports vacations here, despite Corona time.
Along the country lane the snow still drew structures in the grass
It was so cold that my camera shut down after this picture – or was the battery simply empty?
For some weeks, I was pondering on the image for Pisces but the direction remained hidden. Going through my photo collections, I was attracted by pictures from an early morning walk along the beach in Visakhapatnam, India. The waves and the wet sand were mirroring golden rays. The meeting of sky, earth and water spoke of the cycles of time and of the endings and beginnings characteristic of Pisces.
While searching I joined a Zoom lecture of Sri Kumar and I was thrilled to hear him explain in detail the meaning of the rod of initiation and how to meditate upon it. The very word initiation means entering into oneself. That rod of initiation is in us; it is normally dormant but it can be awakened. It is a pole of light upon which there is a sphere of light, like a golden club – the rod of power or the weapon Lord Vishnu is holding in his hand. It is a symbolic representation of the inner side of our cerebro-spinal column and our head. I started drawing and contemplating.
I fused the picture of a golden club with a photo of a Bronze sculpture of Avalokiteshvara, the Bodhisattva of Infinite Compassion (from the Metropolitan Museum). I arranged them in the centre of the image. Avalokiteshvara holds the rod of initiation. On his eyes and forehead, you see a lighted triangle with a central point, symbol of the basic trinity and the oneness. The meditative calmness of Avalokiteshvara, the eternal observer of everything, is in maximum contrast to the ever-changing movement of the waves of time and life. He remains blessing and protecting the beings through his looks.
The symbolism of Pisces is visualised in the eleven Pisces paintings done between 2010 and 2020. For detailed detailed descriptions please see the ludgerphilips.org website.
This morning, a friend of mine sent me a short video of today’s sunrise at Durga Mountain, also called Master Mountain in the Nilagiris, the Blue Mountains of South India. It reminded me of our visit December 2016.
I had planned for last December to go there again with a group – but the strict regime of “Lady Corona” thwarted our plans. At least this way you can look digitally “through the keyhole” and see the beauty of this place.

End of December 2020, Master KPK (Dr. K. Parvathi Kumar) launched an appeal to form triangles to fight Corona with collective prayers. He informed: “This work of health and healing is an order from Hierarchy. They have a wing for health service under the order of goodwill. It is for the human kind at large and not for any religion.” He called for participation in the World Health and Healing Order as an opportunity given by Hierarchy: “We are given this gift of World Health and Healing Order from the Hierarchy. They released energies through this order and they asked me to be in the centre of it. They have fixed me to it and said, ‘You be the third point of every triangle’. It is already a challenge to people to find an agreeable person. It is a pity if that is so. Christ said, ‘If three of you are together, I will work with you.’ … Master Djwhal Khul gave the science of triangles. The existing triangles are not very effective. So, they stepped down and they said, ‘Let at least two persons relate to you (Master KPK) to form a triangle’. Let us fight corona with love and compassion and not with hate. At least we should be neutral if not in love. You remember, corona is a huge personality without a soul. If you have a huge personality without a soul, it is the phantom that is creating a kind of illusion in all of us. It has to be related to with compassion. We can cure with love, compassion and friendliness. This corona is a huge phantom with no direction other than the direction that we show. The more you fear, the more you attract to you. Therefore, the pandemic approaches you. So, don’t fear and request it to dissolve. The ‘World Health and Healing Order’ (WHHO) is a higher order which builds the bridge between us and the Hierarchy. Therefore, as many as possible, kindly join. Please only send a message by email and you will all receive a number later confirming your registration. … Do not be lethargic and be alert to join this order.”
He informed that anyone can make a triangle with him and another triangle partner – they should then register the triangle via email to an address which is exclusively conceived for this purpose. For participation, he advised age as 10 years and above. A friend from Denmark is operating this account – there were so many emails coming in that we installed a mailing list for information to the network of triangle members.
The group prayer is to be done on Thursday and Sunday at noon time (12 am) as per the local time: “If you are at work at that time, you can take a short break, relate to the energy then and later complete the prayer in the evening. It should be done before the sun sets. It is a new way of meeting the world’s needs and serving the world – collective prayer to benefit larger communities. There is no sect in it and we keep working with it. Therefore, we gain the eligibility of being in the presence of the energy of Hierarchy. Please inform all the members of the group, your like-minded friends and family members, and do this prayer. … If we all pray together at respective local meridian time, you can imagine how much healing energy we can bring down from the higher circles. And then with love and compassion, we can slowly neutralise and even dissolve this pandemic and even other sicknesses prevailing on the planet. So, we need to submit ourselves more and more to the plan of Hierarchy.”
Thursday and Sunday there are joint prayers on Zoom 12 am Central European time zone, at least for the beginning time. Find information on Telegram.
Aquarius is related to the waters of space. Madame H.P. Blavatsky says, “Space is potential. Space pulsates.” In space there are innumerable waves, which are the background of every existence in the phenomenal world. The subtle intelligences distribute them through the pulsations and vibrations. They are all an aspect of the Aquarian energy. The symbol of Aquarius hints at this with two electric lines or two waves in space.
The symbolism of Aquarius is visualised in the eleven Aquarius paintings done between 2010 and 2020. For detailed detailed descriptions please see the ludgerphilips.org website.

End of October, my young Indian friend wrote about unpleasant experiences at night. The illustrations are from a walk last weekend along the Aare river and in the municipality where I am living – not related to the content.
“These past days have been very suffocating because of my night problems and despite sleeping with camphor next to me (as Master KPK suggested) I still feel, sense and see a lot of unsettling things at night and the lack of sleep is taking a toll on my body. So maybe Masters are allowing this to happen so that I can learn something from it? I remember you telling me twice that there is a psychic pressure in our planet at the moment and a couple of friends ( who are on a spiritual path but not in Master’s tradition and are much older than me) messaged me to find out if I feel what they feel. They also have been experiencing panic attacks, depression, losing control over the body, not being able to work etc since last week. I don’t even feel like meditating – even healing energies feel like too much at the moment if you know what I mean. All this isn’t to complain, I just feel better when I let you know and you tell me it’s going to be fine.”
My answer: “I well know the experiences you mention, I had such night experiences – especially at the threshold of sleep when you would like to pass over, there the inner doors are also sometimes / with some people more open for unwanted entities / energies trying to come in.
Camphor is good for purifying the ambiance, the muscles, rheumatism… but not with sleep problems / relaxation.
Yes, Masters allow the suffering but also as a pressure/ kick to learn, as you wrote.
Please consider getting Valerian as tincture or as tablets. It has a very good effect on calming the nerves. I take it whenever I have problems to fall asleep (normally I very quickly fall asleep but then, when there has been much pressure during the previous day, wake up after 1-2 hs and don’t get back.) As I wrote previously, it is also very good from a spiritual viewpoint to strengthen the nerves in times of pressure. This is what I recommend you most – don’t take much, it is good with hot milk.
And, as said, honey, very much recommended also by the Master – if possible pure one – helps to calm down.
Be aware that living in or near a city with many people and their vibrations is seen as burdening – and that is why the Masters prefer to stay in high mountain areas. However, we are where we are as our training grounds. See that you get enough pure, fresh food and walk, if possible in nature / a park, when it is safe for you there.
Yes, when there is too much tension around it is a natural “brake” to keep you off from subtle experiences. If you know a good homeopath, please ask for something strengthening your system. As you probably know, also disbalance in minerals /vitamins can cause disturbances in sleep.
When it is getting very tense, I might ask, with your permission, xxx to do some energetic work. … May you be well!”
The constellation Aquarius is called ‘The Man in the Heavens’. The Masters of Wisdom recognised him as the archetype of man and called him Manu. The Heavenly Man has descended into the forms of the many human beings. As Manu, he leads mankind to perfection in accordance with the spiral movement of evolution. Master EK describes this development as spirally moving hieroglyphs.
In Aquarius it is recommended to meditate upon the glittering body of the Heavenly Man and how the stars of the constellation emanate forth the light of spiritual realization. Within us, the light pours down through all centres from the point of Aquarius at the top of the forehead.
The picture shows the light streaming down from the head of the Heavenly Man. A spiral comes forth from his heart. The background of the picture shows the hieroglyphs of a piece of the Tabula Smaragdina (Emerald Tablet). In this text Hermes Trismegistos taught the relationship between man and the Heavenly Man with the words “As above, so below”.
The predominant colour of the painting is between deep blue and violet. It is described as the colour of Aquarius. The actual colour appears as colourless to the human eye, since the human eye cannot recognise this colour. At the upper left corner, you see the stars of the constellation Aquarius and on the right side the Aquarius glyph.
The symbolism of Aquarius is visualised in the eleven Aquarius paintings done between 2010 and 2020. For detailed detailed descriptions please see the ludgerphilips.org website.
Once a month I am meeting via Zoom with the Anima team to discuss the development of the Anima channel. Two days ago, we exchanged about activities that can offer to the Anima community the role of participants and not only that of spectators.
This is a most fundamental issue, especially in spiritual development. Anima is giving in a free and modern way information and inspiration about spiritual topics to an interested community via the web & social media. The team is now reflecting on how to take up suggestions from the community to introduce meetings and do meditations, as a step to a deeper interaction. We discussed different challenges and how to deal with them. One was continuity and how much the team can integrate in their already high level of ongoing activities.
In general, it takes a very long time for people to come from being a spectator and information consumer to an inner commitment – “yes, I feel this is good for me and I will commit myself to this direction”. And later, to commit also to some activity, and again much later to take over a responsibility. There are many mental barriers to overcome – “I cannot; I have no time; I have not the needed skills; I’m not good enough; I don’t want to get into conflicts…”
It might take months or even years from feeling an impulse to taking a step of going deeper and to find the right direction. At least, this was my experience. How to get into an involvement with a group can go through much “trial and error”. Waiting for the right thing is fine but being ready inwardly finally needs to express into some action. To find one’s place is a process of inner searching, orienting and following impulses. It is not someone else telling me, please do this or that. I have to do it myself, because I feel the impulse within. Even if someone proposes or asks me to do something, there needs to be the inner readiness.
I very slowly, over 2-3 decades, came into communication activities and responsibilities, via lot of translation work. It was a good mental training. The commitment grew and expressed in an increasing number of communication and coordination activities, mainly via the web. I had to learn many skills which were not there at the beginning, but I needed them for the work. Although there were impulses from the outside, the decisions were to be taken inside. Looking back, it seems like an organic growth, but I didn’t experience it like this for a long time. It was a slow but consistent development.
But if you want to grow spiritually, it is essential that “you put yourself into the fire”. Staying outside means, remaining cold or lukewarm. You need to kindle your fire and keep it burning. This way, you are going ahead and you are also giving warmth to those around.

Last Monday, Winter Solstice, getting up like every day around 20 to 5, taking a shower, doing some asanas and preparing for breakfast. But the solstice energy was already very much in my awareness, a very special moment of the year. At the longest night, in the Northern hemisphere, when the Sun enters Capricorn and is about to begin its seeming northern journey until Cancer., it is helpful to lift oneself up from matter to spirit.
The morning meditation was the WTT group gathering via Zoom – a new ritual since the beginning of the “Corona age”. This morning with a nice solstice video presentation prepared by the Spanish communication team.
After breakfast, when I was about to leave the apartment, my little granddaughter, who had surprisingly come the night before, came out of the bedroom and asked me, “Where are you going?” “I have told you yesterday that today I will meet with some friends at the Paracelsus centre to celebrate Winter Solstice”. I explained to her that from today on, the darkest day of the year. the days will start becoming lighter again. And that there is a rhythm of the earth, so that we will come again to summer. in six months. “Ah, that’s how it is”, she said with wonder in her words; “see you tonight again”.
I picked up Mathilda at the train station. When we were about to enter the highway, we saw a strong orange light behind the forest. I changed direction and we drove to a little hill behind a nearby shopping mall. There was a breathtaking view of the Bernese Alps – a grand panorama. We greeted the solstice sun and received the golden light into us.
It was a short moment and the colours started quickly fading again when we took the highway. Soon it was grey all around and later foggy. About two hours later we arrived at the Sihlsee near Einsiedeln. Here, winter was still around.
We turned into the little side road and soon arrived at the Paracelsus centre. In the past years, we had frequently met there at winter solstice, but this year, for a longer time, it was not sure if we could do so. The day before, Austria closed its frontiers to Switerland, and so our Austrian friends could not come. Others also had withdrawn due to the present situation. But since the present Swiss regulations allow such little meetings with due hygiene measures, we decided to keep up with the ritual. And two other friends joined us at the Paracelsus centre – putting on masks.
The “Devil’s Bridge” next to the birthplace of Paracelsus
The memorial stone at the bridge
Inside, we arranged a little altar with some fir twigs, flowers and candles. We we started with a small candle ritual and meditation.
It was a special day: 21 years ago, three times seven, in December 1999, the centre had been inaugurated by Master Kumar with a seminar on Paracelsus and his ways of healing. There was much snow around when the entire seminar group came in small batches from Einsiedeln to the centre. It is located above a restaurant, where we took lunch together. Exchanging about it brought back the souvenirs.
After the noon meditation, our two friends had to leave already. We prepared lunch and later did a promenade in the nearby area.
The path was full of snow and ice and there was profound silence around. A pale winter sun shone through the trees.
At one place we could see the house of the Paracelsus centre with the bridge.
Later, we did an inventory of the books in the centre and had an exchange. After evening meditation, the journey back home started. There was a strong rain and the lights on the highway were glittering on the street.
When I came back home, my little granddaughter was still awake. My wife told me that she wanted to wait for me. And so I told her about the day before going to sleep.
Capricorn is symbolically represented with the face of a goat (Capra) and the coiled tail of an animal; it stands for Chronos-Saturn, the ruler of Capricorn. The focus and aim of Capricorn is the mountain top. His qualities are a strong, unwavering will, constant diligence, patience, and unceasing striving toward the goal. May the power of Saturn be helpfully at our side so that we may patiently continue our journey on the path upward even through difficult terrains.
The symbolism of Capricorn is visualised in the eleven Capricorn paintings done between 2010 and 2020. For detailed detailed descriptions please see the ludgerphilips.org website.
