I today received the link to the trailer of the film MIDWAY by Chris Jordan. Very impressive and touching pictures – beautiful, but shocking. I already had blogged about the work of Chris before. Here you find more about this work – a short extract:

“Midway Atoll is a collection of three small islands in the North Pacific, and one of the most remote places on earth. In many ways, this film could be shot in many places on the planet where we find tragedy and despair, but here- about halfway between the U.S. and Asia- on an island teeming with life and wonder, it is the proverbial canary in the coal mine.”

The next video has just a tourism message, but is beautiful- a video done by Alberta, Canada: “Remember to breathe” !!

A fascinating video about the secret of numbers discovered by Fibonacci (c. 1170 – c. 1250), an Italian mathematician, considered by some “the most talented western mathematician of the Middle Ages.” Fibonacci introduced the sequence of numbers which can be seen in many forms of nature to Western European mathematics in 1202, although the sequence had been described earlier in Indian mathematics.

A fantastic short animal film by Jean Jacques Annaud about a fight of a little bear with a cougar. The difficult way to survive in a dangerous world – and the protection of motherly love – or was the helping bear just a friendly helper? A comment said, “It’s a movie, not a documentary.” But the story is very well done, even if it’s an arranged film.

This looks humoristic, but isn’t: An Indian friend sent me the link with the words:

This is actually pretty scary stuff..They hate each other…..
This is how the border between India and Pakistan is closed every evening!!
This is not a Monty Python comedy skit, but it sure does resemble one.
Keep in mind that each of us have nuclear weapons…

If you would like to see some outstanding magical performances, have a look at the following videos from Dynamo, a British magician. Excellent, how he performs them at the outside.

But at the same you might realise how they differ from “miracles” done by Masters like Master CVV resurrecting people from death etc. The magical show is just showing phenomena, but the real miracle is the transformation and upliftment of other souls.

In the first video you see Dynamo walking on water and the people are looking aghast. When miracles happened with Jesus, the people told him, you are God. But he used to tell them that he is not God, but a son of God, and that all the people are sons of God. The priests were very much scared and angry about him… The people gathered to see his miracles but not to experiencing his love and his teachings – just very few were interested in the essence. Master CVV said, “Expect not miracles from me. Accept patience and work out every step.”

Not a 360° panorama-view, but view of the Alps (Eiger, Mönch, Jungfrau) from our balcony 2 days ago:

Last Saturday evening there was a beautiful light over the mountains. I took some pictures from our balcony – a bright space opening up towards the sky, looking like one of Nicholas Roerich‘s paintings.

When you zoom out it’s like unbound space becoming more concretized – seeing the chimneys of the nearby food factory and the neighbour’s house.

And finally the picture shows the house which is nearly covering the view and the trees of the nearby church.

So when you focus your look more to the details you might miss the beauty of the vastness around.

I took some more pictures where you see the beauty in the close-up view: three pictures taken from our kitchen window showing greenfinches enjoying their meal. Little visitors, messengers of the deva world.

Last Friday, Good Friday and Aries Full moon day, the weather report announced an interim high with good weather in the mountains. So we went to see the Ballenberg open air museum, where I had been 3 years ago for the last time. In a beautiful valley they have collected and restored over 100 historical buildings from all over Switzerland. A stroll through the past, where you encounter different styles of architecture and different ways of living and working – farm houses, mills, a pharmacy, a hairdresser, charcoal burners… And plants and farm animals.

What fascinated us most was a last residence room where they presented how a person was laid out, with a decorated young lady dummy, candles burning, prayer songs in the background, and in another house a birth room with the midwife equipment of the 19th century – birth and death in the midst of everyday activities…

When we started in the morning there were still the raindrops of the night glittering on the grass in front of our house and the clouds hanging deep.

But in Ballenberg, 75 km away, the sky had cleared up.  Friday was the first day after their winter pause and many families were enjoying the excursion.

An old mill – inside two millstones were grinding the grain – which was for sale. And an old man explained us how they used to operate the mill.
