Pisces – Colours of Pisces and the Cosmic Person

Monday, February 17th, 2025

The human form is a reflection of the form of the Cosmic Person. According to Master EK’s ‘Spiritual Astrology’, the secrets of these correspondences are preserved and concealed in Pisces and are reflected in the depths of our consciousness as ‘photographs’.

In our perception of the objective world, we know colours as the effect colours have on us. How we designate a colour is an individual perception that differs from person to person. The colour of Pisces is described by some as light blue and by others as bright or transparent white.

The colour of the sign is difficult to describe in words. It corresponds to the clear sky in bright daylight. The colour has two phases. It appears blue but is actually white like the radiant magnesium flame. Spiritual Astrology says that the true colour is always imparted by the guru at the time of initiation.

Pisces is a sign of endings and beginnings. Past and future meet in the eternal present, represented in the glyph of the sign with the meeting and joining of two half arcs. For the background of the painting, I used a photo of the radiant sky and ocean with a small white island of clouds on a flight to Spain just before the Pyrenees. I placed a large semi-transparent Pisces glyph over the entire picture and placed above it seven white ovals symbolising the seven planes of creation.

Into this structure I integrated the image of a statue of Lord Dattatreya, the unity of the three Logoi, surrounded by a cow and four dogs. The statue is made of Panchaloha, a Sanskrit term of a traditional alloy of five metals (gold, silver, copper, zinc, iron) symbolising the five elements of creation – space, air, fire, water, earth.

Twice, after hours of work on the picture, everything created so far disappeared due to a power failure and a programme crash. At the third attempt the following day, this new form of the picture emerged. In creation, too, there is dissolution and new beginnings.

15 Aquarius Paintings

Thursday, January 30th, 2025

The path of Aquarius is mysterious. It demands enquiry and intense search into the occult for lifting veil after veil. Unfolding concept after concept to realise that we are ourselves just a concept of THAT. Aquarius demands the letting go of concepts and the free flow of energies in all directions. We learn to BE and yet experience all states of consciousness simultaneously.

Aquarius – Vena the Gandharva

Thursday, January 23rd, 2025

Picture to the Month of Aquarius

The Indian Puranas describe musical intelligences which are called Gandharvas. They are supra-cosmic beings who are not bound to creation. They exist as musical movements in space and assist the work of creation. The music of the Gandharvas brings about the union of the souls with the Supersoul and bestows the bliss of liberation.

There is a royal Gandharva called Vena. He is poetically described as the essence of the Aquarian passage between apparent non-existence to apparent existence. Vena moves with ease between these two states like a spiritual and fiery river. This flow energy can also be described as a bridge going up to the highest and coming down from the highest. In us, the flow of the river Vena is located between the seventh and sixth chakras, i.e. the Sahasrara and Ajna.

The most important function of Vena is the neutralisation of binding karma. For this purpose, Master CVV gives the mystical mantra ‘Electric Hint’. It enters us like an electrical manifestation and then wipes off the images of the subconscious mind. For this purpose, the Master also gave the meditation 31 in the ‘Occult Meditations’:

“Vena, the Gandharva, is wiping off the pictures of the subconscious mind on the walls of my nature with the hieroglyphs of sound from his seven stringed lyre.” When we work with the sound key CVV, we can visualise how the energy of that Gandharva enters us from above our Sahasrara and fills all seven centres with the working of light and sound. This brings about purification and good changes within in us.

To illustrate the music of Vena, I used the picture of an angel playing music in a fragment of an altarpiece by Gherardo Starnina, painted between 1400 and 1410 A.D. A female angelic figure plays a harp, and the vibrations of the music travel in circles through space. Visualisations of the supra-cosmic plane are always only poetic approximations.

Capricorn – Dawn of Creation

Monday, December 16th, 2024

Picture to the Month of Capricorn

The birth of a universe is like a small wave on the surface of the Absolute. By its nature, the wave is but the sea in a different state. It is the beginning of a new creation, with the Absolute acting as the Creator. “The will to create” allows the first wave to emerge. This wave represents the beginning of a new cycle, the dawn of a new creation.

Capricorn stands for the beginning of new things – for the morning awakening, the dawn of the solar year and also for the dawn of larger systems. Creation also has its dawn, which can be compared to the emergence of a wave. The beginning is like the point or source from which various circles emerge.

From the deep blue of the night, all colours slowly emerge with the light of the sun. The sunlight dispels the night’s darkness. The colour orange precedes the dawn’s light of the sun, only after comes the light of the sun. The radiant orange is revered by all those who seek wisdom. It stands for the awakening of consciousness.

In the centre of the picture you can see a wave and behind, the sun rising out of the ocean. Circular rings spread out from the one wave, just as all subsequent effects arise from the first cause.

For the design of the picture I used elements of earlier pictures and a photo of a wave taken early one morning in Visakhapatnam on the Bay of Bengal.

15 Sagittarius Paintings

Wednesday, November 20th, 2024

As the Sun transits the fire sign of the archer, the Sagittarian energies are easily accessible to us. The lord of Sagittarius is Jupiter, the principle of the teacher. Jupiter stands for realignment, magnetisation, expansion of consciousness and fulfilment in life. The symbol of the cosmic Jupiter principle is the elephant-headed god Ganesha, who embodies the energy of wisdom.

Sagittarius rules the base centre, the seat of Kundalini. Jupiter provides the necessary direction and guidance in meditation. The goal is in the head centre, the highest centre. By using sacred sounds, we focus our energies and direct the arrow of our aligned willpower towards our goal so that the fire can shoot up from the base centre to the head centre and beyond.

Picture to the Month of Sagittarius

In Indian temples one finds depictions of beings with human bodies and the head of an animal. They embody various sublime aspects of wisdom that can only be revealed when there is a deeper understanding. See here about the Symbolism of the Horse.

The horse-headed god Hayagriva, an avatar of Vishnu, is a symbol of cosmic wisdom. It is said that Hayagriva returned the divine wisdom of the Vedas to the creator Brahma when the latter lost them due to arrogance. Humility is needed to attain and maintain wisdom.

The symbol of the horse’s head contains the hints to meditate on our head as the head of a white horse and to chant sacred sound formulas. HA is the sound of the Ajna centre, YA is the sound of the head centre – HAYA. By meditating on the light in the head and connecting the brow centre with the head centre with a radiant white glow, this meditation can expand our consciousness and reveal to us all science and wisdom from within. It is considered particularly auspicious to worship Hayagriva in this way each Thursday and in the month of Sagittarius.

To construct the image, I used a photo of a stone relief depicting a meditating Hayagriva in a Japanese temple. Over this I placed two images of the centre of our galaxy, the Galactic Centre which is in Sagittarius. With the help of the photo of the head of a Hayagriva statue in Rajahmundry, South India, I created the Hayagriva figure in the milky white colour associated with Hayagriva.

The upper part of the picture shows a detail of a zodiacal representation with Sagittarius above Hayagriva’s crown.

15 Scorpio Paintings

Monday, October 21st, 2024

The water sign Scorpio is connected to the cosmic 8th house, where the mystery of death is hidden. Scorpio points to the death (transformation) of mortal identities. Our false identity dies, when it surrenders to the soul. Thus, in a disciple, Scorpio indicates the second birth into true identity, which we can achieve through deep transformational processes. This is the gateway to a greater life. Scorpio is the “call of the Disciple.”

Scorpio – The Indweller of the Cave of Consciousness

Saturday, October 19th, 2024

Picture to the month of Scorpio

When we turn our senses and our mind deeply inwards through regular contemplation, we gain access to the divine Will and experience a state of blissful be-ness. We can imagine how the fiery spark of the I AM consciousness spreads from the inner centre in all directions.

In the wisdom teachings it is said that the Lord of Will is Mars, the Kumara. He is also called ‘Guha’, the indweller of the inner cave of consciousness. His colour is of molten gold or that of pure liquid honey. The cave is the vertebral column in our body.

To symbolise the inner spark of divine Will, I used the 2008 photo of an oil lamp in the darkness of the shrine in a small cave, which is located inside the larger Borra cave system in Andhra Pradesh, India. I included a night light image of an earthen Buddha statue, taken in 2009 at the home of friends in Germany.

On the ground and to the left next to the smiling Buddha is a scorpion, which poses no danger when in the presence of divine peace. The foliage surrounding the statue can be seen in the background, merging into the numerous points of night light of Europe, North Africa and the Middle East. The space image was generated with the help of WorldWind.earth, which uses NASA images. The lights in turn merge into the starry sky, where the constellation of Scorpio can be seen on the right.

From the innermost light of the divine spark, 7 rays rise up and indicate the connection between microcosm and macrocosm.
