A Proposal for Spiritual Diplomacy

Yesterday afternoon, I received an e-mail from a source unknown to me until then via 4 of my e-mail accounts (links in the text are from me): “Attention Request: A Proposal for Spiritual Diplomacy: Scaling the Sripada Srivallabha Charitamrutam Readings in Europe”, the long text being in English and German (here as a PDF).

I noticed that it contained a serious concern, was astonished about the name “Rhibus Solapur, In Association with Rhibus Sciences & Tech“) but the name Solapur flashed through my mind: December 2024, I had been in the neighbour town Akkalkot, together with four friends, on a tour to places related to incarnations of Lord Dattatreya. I wrote a quick reception confirmation and welcome and that I would reply later. And I shared the e-mail with the members of our bi-weekly online study group “Sripada Srivallabha Charitamrutam“, which was meeting yesterday evening. The group is reading the book now for the 3rd time, and I wanted to exchange with them about the e-mail. And just now, mid October 2024, 12 years ago, I came into contact with this book in a mysterious way. And it had changed my life.

In the evening, I read the e-mail, we spoke about it in the group when the members felt touched about the proposal. And later, I shared the e-mail with other friends in German and English, who had helped with the publication of the Sripada biography in the various 4 languages where I was involved in the publications. Still I don’t yet know what to do with the appeal the e-mail contains – in view of the tiny group I am in contact with and the living conditions here in Europe / the West.

Here are extracts from this e-mail:

“We are writing to share a perspective on spiritual exploration and conflict resolution, inspired by your profound work in translating the Sripada Srivallabha Charitamrutam into German.

To introduce this idea, we would like to offer a simple analogy based on how we experience food. Even when we deeply love and prefer the home-cooked food of our native land, we still choose to eat food from other nations. Interestingly, these global dishes are often made from the exact same foundational ingredients—like the basic wheat and rice grown in our own host region. However, a foreign dish introduces a completely different “sequence” of impact on our taste buds, altering how the nutrition enters and is absorbed by the body.

In the exact same way, “God is One.” The foundational source is identical. Yet, approaching the Divine through an alternative route or text changes the “sequence” of our internal spiritual experience. Doing so yields entirely new, verifiable experiential results that can be observed and recorded. Experiencing a different spiritual path does not mean abandoning one’s own; just as home food remains primary to a person, one’s primary belief system remains entirely intact.

We have seen the practical, societal power of this concept in India. When the Sripada Srivallabha Charitamrutam was read collectively by masses of people in regions experiencing high conflict, it shifted the subtle energies of those areas. The collective reading clicked entirely new ideas, fresh perspectives, and innovative conversation techniques among the people, effectively helping to resolve deep-seated frictions...

Currently, there is considerable friction happening around the European area. Given these global tensions, it presents a vital opportunity for a spiritual experiment. If believers across Europe—regardless of their primary religious upbringing—were to come together occasionally in great numbers to read the Sripada Srivallabha Charitamrutam, we could actively record the results.

The outcomes of such mass readings are bound to be deeply positive. As numbers of people gather with a unified focus, it can click greater ideas, soften hearts, and open unexpected routes of diplomacy where political channels have stalled.

Given the current geopolitical climate in Europe, this is perhaps the rightest time to try this experiment in great numbers and verify the transformative results. We would love to hear your thoughts on how the WTT network or local circles might facilitate such collective readings as a tool for peace.“

Yesterday morning, I had read a fascinating interview in our regional newspaper “Der Bund” about Maoz Inon from Israel and Aziz Abu Sarah from Palestine working together to convince the world of a peaceful solution in the Middle East. They have a very touching story, having overcome the anger that had dominated their lives lives (I got it automatically translated for some friends). They had published a book called The Future is Peace, now published in German, they had appearances at the UN, in parliaments, and on media and television channels worldwide. And they had a very practical approach to peace. It felt the same when reading the proposal from the Indian e-mail .

I do not know a way of organising such “mass readings” of the Sripada biography but I experience an energetic magic each time we meet in our small group (or other spiritual study groups). There is a higher vibration present uplifting us and spreading in the surroundings. 45 years ago, I had participated in some huge “World Peace” meditations to cause a change in global trends, and they tried to even measure the impact. Whatever is being done by way of regular prayer and alignment to the divine is certainly the much more effective solution than spreading hate, fake information or terror.

As Maoz Inon said in the interview, if what they do in working for peace is naïve: “After all, to believe that bombs will bring peace or that war creates security is even more naïve. That hasn’t worked since the Second World War – neither in Iraq nor in Afghanistan, Libya, Syria or Vietnam.”

May Peace prevail on Earth 🌿🌿🌿
