Journey to Northern California, Day 3 – 5

Saturday, June 8th, 2019

Next morning, 19 May, after breakfast we said goodbye to Murali and his parents and started the journey to Yosemite park. It was raining – a rare thing during this time of the year.

The hills along the wayside were shining in yellow colour – the grass was dried out. We passed along huge farmland – long kilometres of trees, all artificially irrigated: almonds, olives, apples, strawberries in plastic packing… The extensive farming seemed to quench every possible profit from out of the soil.

Slowly the Sierra Nevada was approaching. The road was climbing up. We passed through forests and hills with skeletons of trees left over from forest fires. At noon time we made a stop in Mariposa, an old gold mining town, for lunch. It was cold and raining and the ladies did some pullover shopping.

In the early afternoon we reached the place of our stay for the next two nights at the Yosemite View Lodge at the Merced River near the El Portal entrance to the Yosemite National Park. The weather had cleared up and so we did our first tour into the park. The steep cliff of El Capitan, a tall granite monolith, was partly veiled by clouds. The awe-inspiring Bridalveil Fall seemed to gush down from heaven. We stood for a while in its spray. The meadows along the Merced River seemed to be a magic playground for elves and gnomes.

Early next morning, after prayer and breakfast, we started our second tour to the park. Although the park rangers warned of snow on the higher roads (the roads were free), we set out to Wawona and the Mariposa Grove of giant sequoias.

Free shuttle busses were transporting the visitors inside the sequoia forest area. It was breath-taking to walk along the huge trees which are upto 3000 years old and have withstood the vicissitudes of time – cold winters, hot summers, forest fires – and the times of woodcutters before the area was transformed into a park. The majestic trees radiated a sacred ambiance; deer and grey squirrels moved through the fresh green still partly covered with snow and a radiant sun shone from a blue sky.

Next morning, however, it was again grey and raining, and so we decided to make a short visit to the Visitor Centre and the nearby Yosemite Falls and then start the long journey northwards to Mount Shasta.

There were dramatic cloud formations over the Sacramento River valley and it was getting already dark when we picked up Chuck’s car from Redding airport. When we approached the Mount Shasta area the mountain was deeply veiled with clouds. At it was already night when we arrived at the home of Chuck at Shastina.

Journey to Northern California, Day 1 and 2

Friday, June 7th, 2019

Today three weeks ago, my journey to California and to the May Call Day celebration at Mount Shasta started. In a few blogposts, I would like to share some impressions of this intense time. It was a pilgrimage to sacred places and sanctuaries of nature and above all to an inspiring group living with about 350 members from various places around the globe.

I could not participate in the mid-May group living with Sri Kumar in Miami followed by a sightseeing tour organised by WTT America.
However, Chuck, an American friend and a retired professor of psychology, had invited three friends and me for a tour through Northern California.

Zurich airport, underground train to dock E

On 17 May, I flew with Mathilda from Zurich to San Francisco; Birke and Astrid came from Frankfort, and Chuck picked us up at San Francisco Airport.
They way through the customs went faster than we had expected, just 2 hours. Soon we were driving southward on the freeway 101.

The sun was already setting with a beautiful Taurus full moon shining over the hills when we arrived at the estate of Anu and Murali in Morgan Hill – a spacious garden with flower terraces and lots of roses and a beautiful huge villa on a hill.
Anu had invited us to come to their home although she was at the seminar with Sri Kumar in Miami. But her husband Murali and his parents, who had come from Visakhapatnam, gave us a warm welcome. And slowly a long day of 33 hours came to an end.

It was the night of the Vaisakh festival, and so we tuned into the energies with a profound morning meditation.

Later in the morning, our travel group set out to Monterey. I avidly absorbed the impressions of the beautiful landscape. In Monterey we made a stop at the harbour. It was an open day of the national Marine Sanctuaries. We had a look at a ship of the coast-guard which was surrounded by seals and seagulls.

Later we drove along the coast and walked a while through the wet sand of the bay. Old wind-torn cypress trees overlooking the rocky coast decorated impressive views over the Pacific Ocean.

After lunch in a huge whole foods market, we drove to a nearby mountain. A winding road led through lush vegetation until we arrived at a Vietnamese Buddhist monastery hidden in a forest next to Mount Madonna County Park (Kim Son Monastery 574 Summit Rd, Watsonville, CA 95076). Clouds were hanging deep and created a mystic ambiance. A retreat was going on in the monastery and so we could not have a look inside. At the parking there was an enclosed depot with huge statues of Buddha, Quan Yin and other saints – east meets west.

On the way back we stopped at a huge old tree standing in the middle of a crossroad and tuned into the energy of this old messenger of the plant kingdom.

8th May – White Lotus Day, the day of the passing of Helena P. Blavatsky

Thursday, May 2nd, 2019

The 8th May is celebrated as ‘White Lotus Day’, in remembrance of Helena P. Blavatsky, who passed over on this day in the year 1891.

In the book “The Golden Stairs” Master Kumar speaks about the beauty of her being which is compared to a white lotus:

“Madam Helena Petrovna Blavatsky is as tender as a freshly unfolded white lotus. The tenderness of her being cannot be expressed in any language. In her case incompatibles have become compatibles. She is as fiery as she is tender. Her being is essentially and naturally tender and extremely motherly. But at work she is an embodiment of fiery Will. She was the chosen darling of the Hierarchy to inaugurate an era of enlightenment. She did her job ruthlessly, dedicating her life to the noble work of the Hierarchy. She has broken many distorted and crystallized concepts of TRUTH. She synthesized the universal wisdom; she presented afresh Cosmogenesis and Anthropogenesis, which are the world scriptures for posterity. She explained dexterously the story of man on earth. Through the key of Manvantara cycles and races she reintroduced the most ancient wisdom relating to globe chains, the seven rays and their universal application. She skilfully utilised the keys of astrology, etymology and cycles of time to unlock wisdom from the most ancient manuscripts of cave temples that exist in the Himalayas. She was as much in the subtle as she was on the physical and was therefore able to grasp the truth in its variety of dimensions. She was a fully inspired lady who inspired many through looks, through speeches and through mere presence. She was even seen as a reincarnation of Buddha in places like Sri Lanka.
She is regarded as the white lotus that unfolds afresh the beauty and fragrance of new age wisdom. She is respected as Upasika, the one who is in connection with the ruling light of the planet, which is said to be mysteriously posited in the subterranean regions of Gobi desert of Mongolia.
Inspired by her teachings ever since, thousands of groups sprang up in all the four corners of the globe, trying to find the way afresh with the help of knowledge that she unfolded for the forward march of the present humanity. Any praise or appreciation of her work would be inadequate. This teaching is offered at the lotus feet of Madam Blavatsky, who continues to be an inspiration in the heart of numerous beings all over the planet. The Madam stood by the Golden Stairs and her life is a demonstration of the Golden Stairs.”

May the remembrance of her life and work help us to integrate her teachings into our lives and to gradually transform ourselves.

Taurus – Downpour of Divine Will

Tuesday, April 16th, 2019

Aldebaran in the constellation Taurus is the Eye of the Bull, which exists in us as the third eye. This star is called Rohini in the East. It transmits the energies of divine Will. This transmission causes transformation of mental matter so that a reception of light from higher circles becomes possible. If we align to these energies, our will gets impregnated by the divine Will. The divine Will is represented by Lord Shiva who sits in the form of a lingam. His vehicle of expression is the great bull Nandi, an epitome of Taurus.

For the image I multiplied a photo of a lingam to create the different coloured layers of the lingam. I placed the glyph of Taurus at its centre. In the background there is a picture of the constellation of Taurus with Aldebaran at the centre of the glyph. Behind the glyph, I placed – now invisible – a picture of the eye of God from an old fountain in the city of Berne, and a photo of a sunset. A stream of light pours forth from the centre of the Eye of the Bull.

CVV Sharing 2019 – Sharing the Energy of Synthesis

Friday, March 29th, 2019

To get into the mood on Friday afternoon, everyone had brought something and put it on the altar: some books, pictures, small statues of Ganesha or turtles… In the evening we talked about the message of Sri Kumar on the energy qualities of the new year (contained in the Vaisakh Newsletter Aries): the name of the year, Vikari, indicates that there will be significant changes in all areas this year.

When the new cycle of the year begins on the vernal equinox and nature awakens again everywhere, a new beginning lies in the air. The CVV Sharings use this very special energy and the meetings for meditation and exchange in the spirit of synthesis are very intense and inspiring. This year the 10th CVV-Sharing took place, and for the fifth time we gathered at the seminar centre “Lichtblick” at Hude near Oldenburg, surrounded by meadows and forests.

For this year’s CVV Sharing Sri Kumar gave a message of Master CVV about inner observation; it began with the words: “In this yoga ‘thought power’ is essential and inner observation is most essential. Without these two, no one can get any salvation…” This year, too, the focus of the Sharing was increasingly on meditation: every three hours we made a meditative alignment, with longer meditations at 6 o’clock in the morning and evening as well as at lunchtime.

On Saturday morning a small talk introduced us to the myth of Chiron and we explored the associated qualities with an inner journey and group exchange. Later, triangular work led to reflections on topics of disconnectedness and valuations in us.

In the afternoon there was an introduction to the art of archery; then we practiced our first steps outside with bows and arrows. Afterwards we talked about the experience of illness and healing. And in the evening musical performances on the guitar lifted us up into subtle planes.

Sunday began with a fire ritual after the morning meditation. It was a magical atmosphere as the flames rose up and everyone put a piece of wood into the fire. And as we gathered for the group photo, the morning sun slowly rose above the dew-fresh meadow.

Later we shared about what makes us open our hearts and when and where we meet the light in others. We did a visualization exercise where we moved up and met on a platform in the subtle world. There we also want to meet for the full moons throughout the year.

Afterwards we took a group walk to a small lake in a nearby forest to say the World Peace Prayer. In the final round you could feel joy about the Sharing meeting; through the intensity of deep encounters the group grew together further.

The CVV-Sharing 2020 cannot take place at the seminar centre “Lichtblick”; the meeting will again be, like in 2016, at the “Seminarhof Drawehn” in Wendland, from 20 to 22 March 2020 – please make a note!

17 March 1984 – 35th Anniversary of Master EK’s Pass-Over

Thursday, March 14th, 2019

35 years years ago, Master EK (Dr. Ekkirala Krishnamacharya) passed over to the subtle spheres – the day of his transition was 17th of March, 1984, on Pisces Full Moon day.

Master EK left his physical body earlier than expected. Through he is no longer in the physical, all these 35 years he has been guiding invisibly all those who orient to him, and he will guide us as long as we relate to him and do not forget him. Master EK’s writings are so powerful that even if we read one page of his writings a day, it will bring us a lot of transformation.

His radiance goes on – in January, two books with lectures he has given in the west were published in India, volumes 6 and 7 of the “Overseas Messages” series:

As a little souvenir of Master EK’s teachings you find below an extract from a lecture of Master KPK (Dr. K. Parvathi Kumar) at the celebration of Master EK’s birthday 2018:

“Master EK disrupted some of the existing customs in the society with a view of transforming the society. He used to perform cremations of orphaned dead bodies. As per the customs, a son is not allowed to attend a cremation while the father lives but Master EK went against that tradition as he felt that a proper cremation to a dead body is more important than a non-essential custom.

Also, in those days, women were not allowed to chant Gayatri mantra. He went against this custom as well and said that “all are equal before the light. Men and Women are equally entitled to worship the Divine light through Gayatri Mantra.” He said there are no restrictions in chanting Gayatri mantra. One just has to know the proper pronunciation and can chant it with a clean mind and body. Grand Masters have even decided to spread Gayatri Mantra to people across the globe with no restrictions because it is a mantra which can lead any aspirant into the planes of light. We should understand that if something good is taught by a Master of Wisdom, it can be followed by anyone and not only his direct followers. Only what is told matters and not who told it. We should not think that I will follow the teachings of only so and so Master and reject everyone else. If it is something which inspires you and enthuses you, then you can take up that teaching or instruction or practice.

In this manner, Master EK did not follow many of the existing customs which he felt were non-essential in the path. Though he was born into an orthodox Vaishnavaite family (Worshippers of Vishnu), he did not follow many of the Vaishnavaite traditions. He worshipped the Divine in multiple forms and not just as Vishnu. He was very particular and highly disciplined in following the essentials but he cared very little about the non-essentials. The non-essentials are to be left to each person’s comfort. If one is stuck with in non-essentials, then the essential aspects are forgotten.

Master EK’s chanting of mantras or OM used to be so effective that it used to purify the surroundings and the people sitting around him. People used to get subtle experiences just by keenly hearing his chantings. Master EK used to hear OM within and then utter it outside. We at least have to utter it and hear it. Then we can gradually hear OM from within without actually utter it with the mouth. Master EK used to have a constant alignment with OM within. It is possible to ones who do not have unnecessary thoughts. It is inner silence which enables one to hear OM within. It is because of this experience that Master EK could speak about silence in the invocation he gave. He said ‘May the silence in and around me, present itself.’ Only one who experienced that inner silence could give such an invocation.

To reach a state where one could hear OM, one should regularly practice alignment with the pulsation. With constant relation with the pulsation, one gets to experience the subtle pulsation and then OM. These are gradual steps that happen to one who practices regularly.”

Aries – Spring-up of Awareness

Monday, March 11th, 2019

The solar year commences from 0 degrees in Aries bringing the seeds of a new cycle. From out of the background of eternity, a new aspect of awareness comes forth. It descends as the annual impulse from higher circles to our planet to contribute to the evolution of the planet and the planetary beings. The impulse is symbolised by the glyph of the sign, the head of a ram. It represents the power to remove obstacles and to re-adjust the form into better and more advanced states.

I visualised this impulse by fusing two photos of a sunrise taken from an airplane. The glyph of Aries pushes forth from the bottom of the image. I depicted the annual cycle with a circle and the sunrise in its centre. The constellation of Aries is seen behind the sun.

A News from 18 February 5120 Years ago

Friday, February 15th, 2019

In the early morning hours of 18 February 3102 BC, Lord Krishna dropped his physical body in a forest near Dwaraka at the west coast of India. His departure happened after a bloody massacre where all men of the Yadu clan had killed each other. It was the end of an incredible incarnation and a turning point of human history. This moment is seen as the beginning of the present dark age, of Kali Yuga.

The date is given in the prefaces of the books “Music of the Soul” and “Man Sacrifice” of Dr. Ekkirala Krishnamacharya (Master EK) and, with some more details, in the biography of Sripada Srivallabha. There it says:

“The demise of Sri Krishna took place during 3102 B.C., 18th day of February, during the night at 02 hours 27 minutes and 30 seconds. It happened in the year named Pramadi, in the month of Chaitra, Padyami of the first fortnight of the lunar month, Friday, and Ashwini star; Kali entered after the niryana of Sri Krishna.”

Sri Kumar (Master KPK) explained in 2014:
“The Kali Yuga is said to have begun in 3102 BC and most of you know the period of this Yuga as 432000 years. We have Dwapara, Treta and Kruta yugas as twice, thrice and 4 times the period of Kali Yuga. All the 4 Yugas added together is called Maha Yuga and 1000 such Maha yugas form 1 manvantara and 14 such manvantaras form one day of Brahma, 360 such days of Brahma form 1 year and 100 such years is the life time of Brahma.”

If you are interested in more details, please read the related chapter in “Man Sacrifice” – how Krishna instructed Lord Maitreya before his departure and what happened afterwards.

Group Lives in India December 2018/January 2019

Wednesday, February 6th, 2019

Three weeks ago, I returned from this year’s journey to India. It started already six weeks ago, at Christmas. This time, I did not write any blogposts – I was still a bit groggy from my time in hospital and a heavy cold I caught in Bengaluru. However, it was a beautiful time with profound teachings and rituals, interesting exchanges with group members and some excursions into the surroundings.
It started with the December Call celebration in Bengaluru. End of December we flew to Visakhapatnam for the seminar with members from the West. It started on 1 January and ended on 9 January. This year’s topic was “The Ashwins – Healing Devas”. About 70 members from various countries of the West participated.
There were two excursions, one to Hamsavanam / Ramadri, an environmental development area with a school for poor children, a garden with sacred trees, and a meditation centre amidst small temples. The other to the Annavaram temple, which is located south of Visakhapatnam.
Before the start of the Guru Puja celebration we visited, like in the previous years, the Simhachalam temple, this time accompanied by Master Kumar. It is a spiritually very vibrant temple on a hill above Simhachalam. Then followed the 3.5 days of the Guru Puja celebration, which are always very intense, filled with rituals, presentations and exchanges. The days were long and the nights were short. It is a kind of intense inner cleaning and charging of the batteries.
When on 14th, 15th January we set out for our journey’s home, we all felt filled with profound experiences.

Aquarius – The Flow of Spiritual Light

Wednesday, January 9th, 2019

The symbol of Aquarius is a man who carries a water jug. From the opening of the jug, water continuously flows out without new water flowing in. We only see the water existing as a potential at the moment when it manifests itself. These are the waters of life that bring forth new unfoldment every moment.

The figure of the Aquarius in the picture was created with the help of photos of a fountain in Valencia, Spain, and the head of a statue of the Sun God in the Capitoline Museums, Rome. Water and stars emerge from the jug and glide into the waters of space.

Various NASA and ESA star images were used for the background. The constellation of Aquarius in the upper left corner resembles a lightning bolt or an electric fire: The energy of the Aquarius flashes like a lightning. On the right, Uranus, the regent of Aquarius, appears in the waters of the space in which countless suns move.
