Sagittarius is a sign that points the way. The arrow of our thoughts is to be directed upwards, towards the soul. Jupiter, the lord of Sagittarius, gives us the necessary direction and guidance. Jupiter stands for wisdom and spirituality. He symbolises teaching and the teacher. Dattatreya, the Lord of Yoga and the cosmic principle of the Teacher, works through the energies of the Sagittarius sign. The Sagittarius full moon is considered his birthday.
