A friend sent me today the link to this video with a wonderfully presented message, conveying the state of affairs of the world we live in.

“This is a non-commercial attempt to highlight the fact that world leaders, irresponsible corporates and mindless ‘consumers’ are combining to destroy life on earth. It is dedicated to all who died fighting for the planet and those whose lives are on the line today. The cut was put together by Vivek Chauhan, a young film maker, together with naturalists working with the Sanctuary Asia network. The principal source for the footage was Yann Arthus-Bertrand’s incredible film HOME. The music is by Armand Amar. And extracts from Greenpeace and Timescapes“.

On July 24, 2010, thousands of people around the world recorded videos of their lives on YouTube to take part in “Life in a Day”, a cinematic experiment to document a single day on earth. From all the material – more than 4,500 hours of footage – Oscar-winning director Kevin Macdonald and executive producer Ridley Scott created a 90-minute feature film that offers an entertaining, surprising and moving view of life on earth.

After having been presented on different festivals “Life in a Day” is now available for free with subtitles in 25 languages (here is the one with German subtitles).

Some days ago I came across a website on “The Astronomy and Astrology of the Dwarf Planets“. I didn’t know how many so-called dwarf planets have been discovered in the last years, you find more on this in Wikipedia.

But what interests me is how Nick Anthony Fiorenza on his above site explains how to explore the astrology of newly discovered objects in our solar system. He outlines several things “that can give us significant insight into the astrological nature of new astronomical bodies” and describes the qualities of the dwarf planets. He especially describes Haumea and Makemake. So he attributes to Haumea “an essence of ‘purity’ or a birth of specialness, the ability to produce a fresh or clear state of consciousness” – Haumea being the Hawaiian Goddess of Childbirth and Fertility.

And Makemake is the Polynesian name for the creator god of humanity in the mythology of the South Pacific island of Rapa Nui (Easter Island). His association with the lunar constellation Revati “indicates involvement with economics and money–material wealth gained from participating in the dramatic psycho-emotional world of human affairs–where the bucks are.”

“As above so below.” It says that the consciousness of humanity opens up to new dimensions whenever a new planet gets discovered. All these trans-Neptunian objects discovered in the last decades indicate that we are heading ahead into new and still quite unfathomable dimensions of this great time of transition.

The 8 largest known trans-Neptunian dwarf planets, from Wikipedia.

(This is the 900th blog post, I’m blogging since 31st March 2006.)

Extremely beautiful videos by John Banks – like dancing through the Deva world. Autumn Architecture Energy “strives to visualize all the interior energy and forms that I sense while experiencing the forest at the peak of Fall. I was not thinking this when making it, but it owes a nod to graphic novel techniques for showing energy as light and lines coming off of objects. I try to utilize the technologies in a way that brings out the character of a scene. It’s obvious, but I like to visualize that essence that I feel in a place. There is a sense of being inside a cathedral or an old castle when walking deep in the Autumn woods….”

Another video, Glow Temple “is the last in a series entitled the Journey Cycle. These short films loosely follow a dreamlike continuum of travels through a lost book. … Ancient alchemical writings move us along to find the key. The goal was to create an experience that would transport you without being specific, hence the unknown language.”
